US tv waves are dominated by ldbc ball sports, which makes sense considering the main reason people watch those sports.
You notice the ones who follow boxing only follow like two weightclasses?
Jeez, I wonder whats going on in the rest that makes them not watch...

PBC shows regularly do more regardless of show simply because they follow this one rule.

    Top Rank’s do not.

Crawford’s fights always do great and Lomachenko’s highest ratings fight was Rigondeaux moving up two weightclasses.

The sooner Top Rank understands that most of the US audience are cuckolds, the better it will be for their viewership numbers.
. Yeah I've noticed this and commented on it before, the PBC strategy of developing strength in depth and packing just 2 or 3 divisions with home grown talent seems to me like a smart business plan even if it ain't ideal as an international boxing fan who watches across all the divisions. You'd have to imagine the growth strategy would then be to gradually extend the roster into other division - presumably the adjacent ones would be easiest and most rewarding since it also allows for relatively easy cross division match ups..

Like I say, though, bit of a shame for international fans since the PBC has shown little interest in investing in talent from outside North America - and I've observed, foreign fighters brought in as PBC opponents sometimes get treated extremely poorly on the cards, though I ain't done a breakdown of the numbers to figure if it's any worse than home field advantage under other promotions.

Hmm. Whatever you think of him ol Bob does know how to sell a fight so if there was no promotion he either couldn't (and the only obvious reason would be lack of funds) or chose not too (figured the return wouldn't be worth the investment or that the funds could be better invested elsewhere). I'd suspect the latter given that Arthur only came to him recently and he's never invested particularly heavily in Gvozdyk... Would have cost a lot to get two foreign fighters in the public attention at short notice for few extra viewers was possibly the calculation. Who knows though? I'd be interested to hear other theories.
there was no promotion. none. top rank has been pathetic for most of the year though, its also espn’s fault because they don’t really care about boxing. put the two together and its a bad mix. top ranks numbers are way down year over year. idk who they are marketing to but its not working.
