Comments Thread For: Wilder: Ortiz Fight Was FOTY Candidate - Rematch Will Be No Less

Back in March of 2018, WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder made a voluntary defense against Luis Ortiz at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Wilder dropped Ortiz three times before the contest was waved off in the tenth round. But before that happened, Ortiz had Wilder in serious trouble and ready to go in the seventh.

The 'Bronze-Bomber' is on a premium network in the UK?! But the Gypsy-Bum Tyson Fury is on a streaming app in America?!

Lol you gotta love Beyonce wilder. He ain't got time for ppl to decide he was in a FOTY or is the baddest man on the planet and the A side to everybody so he just says it himself. He's even labelled him self the Boogey man and a hall of famer and an ATG.

who needs experts to discuss these things when Wilder can just do it for them by saying stuff.

The 'Bronze-Bomber' paid step aside money to take on the Boogeyman of the HW division in 2018. The experts decided, Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz was nominated by ESPN FOTY for 2018. Then Wilder successfully defended the most prestigious title in all of sports vs. Tyson Fury.

AND STILL! Longest reigning WBC HW champion of the world! First ballot Hall Of Fame no doubt.

I'm glad Wilder is willing to right any controversial decisions that boxing fans has against him. I wish all boxers had that pedigree.

You can only hope the Gypsy-Bum makes it to the WWE HOF as a professional wrestler. Right now as it stands Tyson is already shot, and has a atrocious boxing resume; its highly doubtful that this bum ever gets nominated.

We were hoping he would be WBC champ already but they robbed him of his rightful and clear victory. But like I said, we all know it, we can tell a robbery when we see one. Not the 1st or last PBC robbery of that year either so not even a surprise.
