Jonathan Banks vs Seth Mitchell 2.

I remember Seth being an exciting prospect for the Americans, but then was stopped with relative ease when he faced Jonathan Banks. In the rematch, Banks seemed to let him cruise to a decision and didn't let his hands go at all. That fight has always been a bit suspect to me and has always sat in my mind when people mention fixed fights.

Setting up a guy for easy wins can be considered a legal form of fixing

On those terms, 95% of Pac's WW resume was fixed.

          Clottey got a $1m " performance " bonus... for totally under-performing

          that was a sparring match
Did he really get a bonus? If so, what were the terms?

From what I remember he got treated very harshly for his performance. HBO didn't want to broadcast him anymore, Top Rank dropped him, and he couldn't find anyone to promote him for a good few years.

I think it's very unlikely that any high profile fighters are taking dives, it would be too easy to spot. This might be unpopular but I think it's equally as unlikely that judges are being paid off. The promoters / managers just simply stand to lose too much, their entire career is over should they be found out. There will always be another fighter they can sign and groom, it doesn't really make sense to risk everything on something like that. If you actually consider the implications of paying judges (because 1 won't win you a fight), it's not like in the prior generations where you could just hand over an envelope of cash. Reporters / Social media is literally everywhere now, tax regulators have software making sure you can account for every penny/cent/possession that's ever come your way.

I think what is more likely, is favorable / biased judging...I mean these judges still want to keep working right?

Oh brother there’s some corrupt things that take place in sports that you probaly wouldn’t believe. Having fixed fights and fixed judging is more common than ever I’d assume these days. High profile fights like GGG Canelo 1 was completely fixed.
              A draw? Then a rematch?
              Lol, so obvious business move.

He didn’t perform well because Manny dominated the dude.
Even double clapped his ear drums, lol. PAC slaughtered Clottey.

The posters here are so naive and dumb they don’t even realize how far they got a kielbasa sausage up they @$$.

No back off the head and after the bell punches.
Slowed down tempo, long resets after every ref interaction.
                  Careful body punching.
Slight nod of head when fighter is ready to ko/get ko'ed.

We obviously know that fights are fixed in combat sports, mostly boxing, frequently more than the public would like to believe. But it’s true, and it’s actually still happening to this day as you can see. Because combat sports is still a business and money needs to be made needs by those who are paying to run it.

                    PAC-Bradley 1
                    Pac-Horn
                    Canelo-GGG 1
                    Etc.

But which less popular fights do you believe we’re fixed?

Did you know that plenty of Horse races were fixed in the past? and still are but just not as frequently or common.
                    Boxing as well.
In those three fights the judges may have been payed off and I think they were. Those were robberies and bad decisions. But the boxers were not in on any fix as they all fought their best to win.

I am thinking Kovalev may have been paid off to lose to Canelo. Kovalev has a good chance of going to jail soon after the fight so he could use some money to leave his family. The people in power don't want Kovalev to win. It would ruin all their plans and make a big difference in Canelo's future and the potential money Canelo, DAZN and Golden Boy make in the future. A lost to Kovalev takes a lot of shine off of Canelo especially if he was KOed. A win over Kovalev probably gets him fighter of the year and fighter of the decade and that's the plan. I have no proof at all and maybe it will be a legit fight with both men trying their best to win.
