    Fixed Fights

Anybody here have any solid proof or theories to fights that have been fixed?

We obviously know that fights are fixed in combat sports, mostly boxing, frequently more than the public would like to believe. But it’s true, and it’s actually still happening to this day as you can see. Because combat sports is still a business and money needs to be made needs by those who are paying to run it.

    PAC-Bradley 1
    Pac-Horn
    Canelo-GGG 1
    Etc.

But which less popular fights do you believe we’re fixed?

Did you know that plenty of Horse races were fixed in the past? and still are but just not as frequently or common.
    Boxing as well.

Robberies are not fixes. The loser was trying hard to win.

In other words the loser won, which means it was fixed.

Thanks for clarifying that Curtis Barker. Toodles.

        What ?!?!?

This how logical people CONVINCINGLY fix a fight

No one tries too hard to win.

The guy picked to win will have a moment in a round where a flash knockdown occurs.

During the championship rounds, the guy picked to lose will not be very effective with his attacks.

Any other scenario will bring unwanted attention.

        Don't confuse robberies with fixes.

a guy can try hard and do everything possible to win and clearly win and still lose so yes the judges giving it to the wrong guy is a way of fixing it. like kovalev-ward. they just weren't going to give him enough rounds no matter what happened. even clear ones late in the fight they just gave to ward because they knew they had to. they should have probably cheated better but at the same time there is no accountability and so they get sloppy.

Manny " missed 1000 punches " Pacquiao... vs... Joshua "I can hit him... and when I do hit him, I damn near kill him... but, nah" Clottey

                Clottey got a $1m " performance " bonus... for totally under-performing

                that was a sparring match

                  yep

the only fixed-fight in recent years was Pacquiao/Clottey

Cotto/Margarito before that... if you count cheating

                    You just described robberies.

A fix is a fight similar to the well mentioned SRL vs Hagler.

Close but kinda had a winner

You don't want your fixes to be questioned and investigated.
