why doesnt the dumb ass interviewer ask him a simple question:

    1. what does he weigh now
    2. what does he expect to weigh on the fight

we already know he gained a ton of weight after the last fight and had to lose it all again. So reports like "ruiz lost 40 lbs" are meaningless, 40 lbs from WHEN?

Its always nice to lose a bit of weight, and if Ruiz is happier looking at himself in the mirror then I'm glad for him. The thing is he fights great as a chunky bloke, will he fight as good with a more athletic physique that he's not used to? After all, perfecting a beach bod over perfecting his craft is what many people believe led to Joshua's eventual loss.

Il be very surprised if Ruiz drops his robe to reveal an Arnie physique on fight night , at best he will be a bit less flabby .

Probably more of a Joseph Parker type physique I reckon. Whatever he looks like, he needs to make sure he is mentally attuned to his new physique; loads of fighters have fallen foul of this sort of thing before, be it from massive loss/gain of body-fat or muscle and not feeling quite right in the fight.
Roy Jones Jr was never the same after blowing up to HW then coming back down, but that's probably the most extreme and high-profile example.
