Haymon looks out for his fighters but sometimes to a fault. It's great to get nice purses against limited opposition but in the end it can hurt a fighter's career. Case in point, Jermall Charlo. I have no issue with Hogan getting another shot. Many, including myself felt that he beat Mungia but after this fight Charlo needs to fight the top guys. The other side of the street nonsense is just that, nonsense!

Nice, they're both building up their brands in Asia first.
Have the fight in Beijing at Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium in Fall 2020!

I don't hate Canelo, he is an excellent fighter with diva tendencies and 118-110 ace up his sleeve. Canelo is absolutely doing something right, his strategy of aging GGG almost succeeded. I want to see him fight a HOF or an A+ level fighter in his prime. What boxing fan wouldn't? But for some reason 35 y.o. seems like a number that lures Canelo to take risks. Otherwise a fighter in his prime can be even 32 and really good, but then he can't be on that A+ level - see Jacobs.
Its a mathematical formula really: prime+potential HOF= no Canelo fight.
Past prime + aging + potential HOF= Canelo fight.

I like Bivol but that Russian is alot more than just a simple bruiser they make him out to be. He is exceptionally intelligent in there. Most probably would disagree. He will eat up Bivol too.Comment

He learned that formula from Mayweather but I really dont see him avoiding fights. He would eat up any 160 pounder.I don't hate Canelo, he is an excellent fighter with diva tendencies and 118-110 ace up his sleeve. Even if he meets equal talent and power. He knows how to out point. Most young guys dont.Comment

He could have fought GGG a few years ago - in 2015 there talks if I'm not mistaken. He was talking about his body not being ready. That's avoidance. At least he was sort of honest about it. Its impossible to pit fighters at their prime against each other when they are 8 years apart. It's just biological limitation: one isn't ready while the other is over the hill. There was no one of GGG level in 160lb division, but now he is going further and further away from his prime while the new guys are in their prime. Pit 32 year old version of GGG against any of them- those fights wouldn't have been so close.
Plus Canelo has special meat, let's never forget that and pretend like it never happened.Comment
