he just left the division for a super fight with gamboa. the guy who beat salido who beat loma. you dont think they aren't going to use that angle? they want the uninformed fan who doesnt really know whats going on. those kind of people will be like oh wow he must be better than loma in that case! hardcores know its a con but most people who tune in arent hardcores.

They can certainly wait loma out, but they better damn well hope Haney gets too big for lw and moves up before people start calling for that fight.

live up to expectations? he's fighting complete unknown guys and small guys moving up. this is their whole strategy. get knockouts and look great but thats easy to do when you are fighting bums. you shouldn't expect anything less than that. just like with this gamboa fight. easy ko. look great. get hype. get idiots to buy/tune in. pretend you want to fight loma. drag that out for years. maybe fight him when hes over the hill if you can get him. in the meantime cherry pick like hes been doing. we know the script. we dont have to be ****** anymore
I'm not really disagreeing with you man lol...I think Tank's chances at 135 or at all vs Loma are more due to the fact that Loma has looked more pedestrian lately at 135 vs the whirlwind he was at 130.

every tank opponent has to be heavily vetted and near death for tank to fight.

yeah at some point he will have to get in there with one of those top guys...and unfortunately for him there are at least a couple around there in my view that are really good

No. Davis already has his super critics.

He's at 135 now. Imagine him dragging Cruz or Russell two divisions up, despite how high those same critics rate them? Davis is held to much higher standards (I love it, tho), where the caliber of Santa Cruz, Russell, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist, Gamboa, become bums.

That's the standard I hold him too.

Shouldn't people be asking questions why this is so? I know why. Most of the hardcores here know how special Davis is.

Yea, in and around that weight is stacked with good young fighters. He won’t have the past prime established names that Floyd had...Davis will never be the star Floyd was.

He'll crush everyone between 130 and 140. Keep watching. Loma is surrounded.
