I'm very glad that I went to this fight and watched it live. It was a brutal affair with both landing some wicked power punches. Gvozdyk taking Beterbiev's best until his body couldn't anymore and he wilted. I was pretty surprised at how many Ukrainians were in the arena. Great atmosphere for a fight.Comment

I always thought highly of Beterbiev. You could see from the first round his punches were damaging Gvozdyk much more than the other way around. Gvozdyk started gassing from around the 5th. I think Bivol would give Beterbiev the most trouble. At this point he would stop Kovalev and Canelo would be a fool to fight him. Not only is Beterbiev fundamentally sound but he hits really hard and can take a punch.Comment

I’m sure it’s out there but you have any links of Kov. Vs Bieve??? I didn’t realize they were so close in age?? And WOW! Kov. Went on to be a star and Bieve. To the wastelands???Comment

1) Always in the teaching mode. That’s would of been funny seeing the Irish vs. an all black team??? I’m more into real football! I root for USA and Mexico in World Cup and then 2) have to root for Italy. I like Spain and Argentina a lot as well.

2) I'm rooting for Italy since the '80s... but I usually like Brasil (no matter what)!...
3) There's no link for Kovalev vs Beterbiev (they fought somewhere in Russia...)Comment

I don't know, I wasn't extremely impressed with his power. Don't get me wrong, he hits hard, but hes not other wordly. I always sensed that Gvozdyk's chin wasn't that strong, but last night he showed that he was able to take multiple flush shots from Beterbiev without going down, in the end it was the body work and lack of conditioning that did Gvozdyk in.Comment
