Stevenson was able to clock Gvozdyk a few times but getting mauled by Beterbiev he might not be able to get away with.
I'm leaning towards Beterbiev but ffs this fight is going to be pure quality and drama.Comment

Wow, you are so high on Beterbiev.
But he has hardly been tested.
Who has he fought before he had a near death experience with Callum Johnson?Comment

+1, I'm stoked for this one too. I'll go with Gvozdyk by close decision, but hard to call and don't mind who wins as long as its judged fairly. This fight deserves more pub as it’s a unification between two undefeated champions!
It’s getting no televised promotion on ESPN at all even no online advertising!
Both fighters are always in exciting fights and yet Bob has failed to promote this properly!
The best thing about it is that it’s on free tv ESPN so can’t complain that much but just would like both guys get the recognition they deserve for stepping up and putting it all on the line!
My money is on Gvozdyk by 10th round TKO in a very exciting fight which see’s him visiting the canvass but surviving an picking Beterbiev apart, piece by piece!
Can’t wait!Comment

Out of Old Stevenson (against who he was actually losing on points coming to the 12th round), Beterbiev has a much better resume than Gvozdyk...
Also Beterbiev was more surprised than "Near Death" when Johnson caught him...
Finally, I'll remind you that Gvozdyk was floored by the infamous Tommy Karpency in the first round... No near death experience there either... Stuff happens...

Gvozdyk was my first gut instinct when this was announced, and I will stick with it. I got a close fight in which he wins a UD in the "as close as it gets" 115-113 range on all three cards.
I have changed my mind a ton. No confidence at all, as Beterbiev is so freaking good. Any outcome will not surprise me.Comment

I think it's speculation to say exactly how much Stevenson had left in the tank at that time of Gvozdyk fight.
Props to you. Beterbiev won very impressive victory.
Re knockdowns, anybody can be caught, we even see it with HOF fighters.
I think Gvozdyk did not fight the right fight, punch selection wise. His go-to right cross over the opponent's arm did not pay the dividends. And he did not go to the body to slow down Beterbiev. Credit to him, he just kept the pressure up.Comment
