Comments Thread For: Haye: Wilder Underestimated Fury - He Won't The Second Time

Former two division world champion David Haye is expected Deontay Wilder to come out much better in the expected rematch with Tyson Fury. The rematch with Fury is slated for February 2020 - if Wilder wins his upcoming voluntary defense of the WBC heavyweight title on November 23, in a rematch with Luis Ortiz at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

So what if he did? That does not mean his boxing skills which he clearly doesn't have will appear in the next fight. Will be same boxing lesson where a guy throws windmill punches in hope he lands a miracle shot, which he did in his last fight but Fury being the only true HW champ in the world took it like it was nothing, what a lad!!!

The fact that he couldn't pick up on Fury's simple defensive patterns and that his corner didn't tell him to feint to expose the pattern is shocking to me. I don't think Wilder would have to do a lot to beat Fury but somehow he and his corner struggled with it the first time out so it's hard to say if they'll adapt. I've a feeling they'll still focus on enforcing their plan, and plan B will be "hard right hand".

In the vast majority of rematches the more skilled boxer usually wins even more clearly. Fury could easily fight even more defensively like he did with Klitschko and make Wilders chance of landing a big shot even less.

Wilder have no other game plan aside the plan A " make it physical and land the right hand". Aside that, wilder is done. If he can't land the right hand, frustration level increases.

You could see even fewer punches thrown in the rematch.

If I was Wilder I'd be fighting at one hell of a distance and waiting for my chance.

I also don't buy that Fury will be better. That was about as good as we've seen him, and fighting in E grade since won't have improved him.

The problem with your assessment is that it wasn't as skilled a performance by Fury as the media try to make out.

He had hardly no offensive game that fight and got knocked down twice.

Also, you say 'wins even more clearly'. Fury did not win the first fight, I don't care what anyone says, no way. I've watched it 4 times (1 time with the sound off) and it's a draw or 1 round win for Wilder because of Fury barely doing anything the first 4 rounds with Wilder chasing him and throwing punches and of course the two 10-8 rounds for Wilder.

Saying Wilder drew or even won loses you all credibility. You must be Wilder himself to think something so insanely ******.

In rematches, more skilled boxer usually wins. Ward -Kovalev, Canelo -GGG and so on. I don`t see Wilder winning there.

Haye talks a lot, but as usual it is 99% BS.

Not giving Fury credit for totally outclassing Wilder, and basically saying Wilder is a boxer who can make adjustments is simply ridiculous.

He acts like a female over stuff like this.
