Usyk just starts way too slow and he can be hit and countered with big punches. I thought maybe he could beat like a Parker but now I doubt it, I may even favor Kownacki. If Usyk lets these guys get going early they'll wear him down quick, he has to start guns blazing and I don't think thats him.

I think it's the Papachenko style. Loma starts slow too but then turns it up after 3-4 rounds. I think Papachenko's tactics is always to carefully feel out the opponent to measure his distance and power before starting to pressure. Both Usyk and Loma do that

I' don't really know. Wiherspoon might be right:
Usyk is very technical and sometimes ultra careful. It's gonna take a big, strong, aggressive and hungry heavyweight to try to overpower Usyk.

He was able to beat bigger guys like Pinklon Thomas, Michael Dokes, Holmes, Foreman, Quick Tillis, Douglas, and Bowe. Don't get me wrong , in way shape or form and I am saying Usyk will have the same success , in fact I predict he wont even come close ( especially after seeing how slow he started last Saturday ). My Point is though ,this article points out the disadvantages Usyk will have against Joshua and these are the disadvantages Holyfield had against most of his opposition at HW and still won.

Yes but Holyfield hit much harder than Usyk.

I think the key to the HW's beating Usyk is to use a bit of brutality early on and stop him before he truly gets started. He always starts slow and takes 2 or 3 rounds to figure out his opponents, then it's almost like his mind is a split second ahead of time and he sees everything coming.

Well not as much in this thread, but there have been an awful lot on NSB dogging Usyk and predicting him to fail. Even seeing the Witherspoon performance, I think it's WAY premature to write Usyk off at HW.
It looked like a decent first test to me, and I don't have any problems making comparisons to Holyfield. Some ppl believe that Usyk has already peaked and I don't agree with that either. I think he will improve with each HW bout, as he gets used to the weight. I think he has the heart to outlast most HW's as well.
It will be interesting to go back to these threads in a couple years, after Usyk has a title HW title shot.
