i know it was a WBS fight, but watch usyk school a huge guy like joyce. usyk is more than capable of beating the big guys. and the whole "taking a punch from the bigger HWs" goes for all of them. joshua is huge and quit vs a fat guy in ruiz.

It won't make a bit of difference. The bottom line is Usyk can't punch at this higher weight class. He has tremendous hand speed and punches like a Middleweight but other than that he yet has a way to go at Heavyweight. If he can't hurt the contenders or titleholders at this weight class then he is going to be in some serious trouble.

His best assets are his foot speed, and his hand speed. The weight won't effect the hands, and 5-8 more pounds would hurt too much of his lateral movement. Now if he ballooned up to 230-240 that's different.

His skill level is worlds above most HW's. He'll do very well until he meets the elites (Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Ruiz). Actually would be his worst choice of opponents because his hand speed is equal...or better...than Usyk's.

Michael Hunter's move to HW has been good so far. He beat 3 big HWs in Bakole, Ustinov & Kuzmin. Usyk beat Hunter & has more skills so I'm not sure why so many are writing him off already. Holyfield faced the same doubt from many critics & he won 4 HW titles. Usyk cleaned out the CW division beating the best so there is nothing left for him to do but move up. Usyk has the pedigree & the skillset to have a successful run at HW. I would take a couple more fights before he goes for a title but if the WBO title fight comes up I'm sure he will jump at the opportunity. Last night he was coming off a long stretch of inactivity following an injury. They could of scrapped the fight after Spong was pulled but they had a soldout show & he wanted to be on it. He got 7 rounds in. He's an interesting character & a nice addition to the HW landscape...

Even Ruiz would give him a very tough fight because he would work his body the entire fight and slow him down. Usyk´s biggest weakness is his body. He doesn't like to get hit there and Beterbiev dropped him with a body shot in the amateurs.

I tend to agree. Even Gassiev and Witherspoon buzzed him. Wilder would definitely stop him if he lands clean and it takes only one punch from Wilder like in the Szpilka fight. Usyk could outbox Wilder for 11 rounds but in the 12th getting hit with Wilder´s right and its over.
