He wasn't out for three years but he was certainly out of shape. I am not knocking Usyk. He did what he had to do but stopping a fat Chazz Witherspoon in 7 rounds is not scaring any of the top heavyweights.

Funny I remember people saying Takam was a bum when AJ fought him, now he walks through a great fighter in Usyk?

My bad. He's do 10 rds the past 3 years and didn't train for this fight. So that needs to be said also if Usyk's inactivity is going to be an excuse

And the only reason I'm saying an unimpressive performance is because people are making excuses so even they think it was unimpressive

Usyk looked okay but not like a P4P guy. If it was ring rust then the next fight should be more telling. Provided that the opposition is top notch.

It should have been a KO win. I expect this is how Usyk will look against everyone at HW really. He should take a few more fights to get acclimated, especially since I don't think he'll get his title shot in 2020.

You think Usyk could beat him or is he also too tough for the bum Usyk? Anyone can beat anyone. Until they fight nobody knows what could happen, especially at HW....
I would not be insanely confident in Usyk beating David Price or Dereck Chirsora to be brutally honest 'Never-mind John Ruiz head to head hypothetically speaking'.

I have been stating it for months that he is overrated by people within the boxing community. People are now starting to realize, I don't see any confidence in his heavyweight assault 'He is being matched extremely tentatively' and this is happening for a reason.

                  So Wilder should rematch Sconiers?

                      Takam is very average IMO.

Has never beaten anyone. His best win is faded 40 yr old Tony Thompson.

Whenever he steps up he loses convincingly.

He’s a fun fighter though, I’d watch him mix it with guys like Knowacki, Chisora (again), Arreola etc
