Bivol is clearly not a KO artist, but he doesn`t care about that. he just dominates his opponents to decision.

I can't be sure, but perhaps Bivol's team is taking a low-risk wait and see approach, for now, doing the bare minimum to hold on to the WBA belt ensuring that going into negotiations with either the winner of Gvozdyk v Beterbiev or Canelo v Kovalev that they hold some value and leverage.
Bivol and his team use to be far busier and seemed to take on higher risk opponents, with Bivol always expressing his desire to unify the division (although which fighter doesn't follow this script?).
This is why I'm against Canelo's cavalier weight jumping because if he does beat Kovalev, I bet he doesn't go anywhere near the other three, which will delay what finally seems to be movement towards unification after a long period of stagnation.

Lets see how Canelo does against Kovalev. But from what I saw tonight I think Canelo would actually have a chance of beating Bivol.
