Shrug. I can’t really argue this but i would say most fighters get to the most elite class and the kos drop. GGG is available to be hit and less dominant than he once was, it’s a shame his prime wasn’t tested so he could have p4p status. Now he’s a good fighter, but clearly on his declineComment

The WBC had been setting up the Maravilla / Cotto / Canelo ish up since 2013, man. Smart PR would have been for GGG to not take the step aside, but then he simply would have had less money and still not got the fight. Bear in mind in the event that Cotto still dropped the belt anyway prior to the fight and Canelo dropped it afterwards which kinda tells you how important it was to 'em. Golovkin was never gonna be part of that picture because that fight was really about the money - the belt was just an added extra.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 10-17-2019, 03:26 AM.Comment

lol even Kellerman has finally seen the light and is admitting that Canelo beat GGG and raising real questions about GGG's career and resume. He beat low level competition and the moment he finally stepped up the small sample we have of him against real opponents and the hasn't looked good in those fights knockouts ended and all the fights he either lost or were controversial where many feel he should of lost.
Saying Dervy beat GGG isn't controversial anyone knows he lost that fight too. But clear 180 on GGG's career is irony coming from Kellerman who is a huge reason for the over hype GGG got and was at the time inflating GGG's resume while he was beating up on tomato cans. Kellerman will never admit to being wrong or part of the problem for anointing this man before he even beat 1 quality opponent and is trying to side step his role he played at HBO to boost a a guy with horrible level of opposition. Now that he is no longer working for HBO and GGG is on DAZN Max is on ESPN so he is finally speaking the truth. The more GGG loses or struggles against decent opponents only highlights what his critics said for years as he was praised for fighting terrible level opponents. GGG has only fought 5 opponents who have ever been a world champ. In comparison Floyd beat 26 opponents who were have been a world champ at some point in their career. Canelo isn't even 30 yet and has already BEATEN 15 world champs that's 3X GGG. GGG's entire career won't age well and is nothing but excuses for why he didn't make better fights or look good when he finally did get a few.Comment

Max has no credibility. When he announced for HBO he first claimed that Golovkin put in an astonishing performance in the rematch but barely lost. Then on ESPN he said Golovkin won. Now this nonsense. He isn't consistant and he's supposed to be an expert on boxing.Comment

dude... what a load of fkn rubbish
everyone who negotiated in good faith with Cotto... landed that fight
FACT: when Mr " anyone from 154-168 " totally refused to negotiate on weight with the little old faded 153lb SUPERSTAR... HE WALKED AWAY FROM THAT FIGHT...
AND HE KNEW IT !!
you are still making childish excuses for the guy who said... NO
arguing... oh, but... catchweights blah blah... HARD FKN LUCK
everyone who said yes, landed that fight
it is as simple as 1,2,3... and here is the math...
1) Golovkin offered to defend against Rosado at 158
+
2) a few months after totally refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo... Golovkin stated that he was willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up
=
3) FACT: Golovkin could have taken that fight... but he CHOSE not to
you guys will NEVER stop making excuses for a guy who totally refused to lift a finger to make meaningful fights... which is ridiculous
we will always be laughing at you sorry excuse-makers... because Golovkin did the same thing again... and again... and again... with EVERYONE !!Comment
