He openly talks about violating the Ali Act in this article & in this interview.

Dude, you'd think this website was full of CEO's, accountants, wealth managers, and attorneys the way some of the folks obsess over contracts, purses, and all the other nonsense.

DAZN messed up when they didn't flex their muscles and allowed Canelo to get his way. Canelo literally threw a fit and when DAZN had the opportunity to show him who's boss, they caved. It's disappointing. They just set a precedent with that crap.

I only wanted to underline that signing a $350 million contract with Ukrainians isn't the "best business move"...

You are right! They will do whatever they feel they want to do with or to him.

Totally agree. I counted the comments on one thread regarding the negotiations for the second Golovkin vs Canelo fight. As I recall the vast majority of the comments had to do with the contract and money split, another large group was about denigrating one or the other of the fighters and a small number discussed the actual fight in an objective way. But you might have hit on something. Maybe the vast majority of the folks who post on this site are frustrated business execs, accountants and lawyers...just kidding.

DAZN clearly has some say in who Canelo fights...I thought they could force the GGG fight too, and who wouldn't have thought that...they paid them both all that money, surely one would think they could have forced that fight.

But yeah in any event DAZN has a lot of say in who Canelo fights...that is pretty evident...if you've seen the contract and know the specifics feel free to enlighten us, but until then we are all in the dark on the details and just have to put 2 and 2 together here.

So they'll be forcing Alvarez to fight someone against his will.

I don't know what to make of it.

I'd rather see Golovkin fight Andrade.

DAZN: sitting back with their feet up, letting Canelo do the work

Skipper: working up the nerve to confront Canelo about fighting Golovkin:

" hi Canelo, what I want to talk to you about is....

... huh, whats that?... you want to fight Kovalev... ???

erm... you obviously don't mean Sergey Kovalev... right... ?

                      really?... wtf... ?

umm... ok, well... please let us know if we can do anything to help

umm... Canelo, just to confirm once more... you do mean SERGEY Kovalev... the LHW, right...?

                      ... oh, right... o, k, then
                      "

                      Canelo leaves the meeting:

a dazed Skipper rushes down the hall and calls out:

" we loooove you Canelo "
