Yes, that seems likely, and the path of least resistance . . .

Because Derevyanchenko HAS shown he's a force in the division. He gave GGG one of his 3 toughest fights. Stop coddling GGG. Accept the rematch WILL happen, because it HAS to happen. Otherwise, old GGG will be seen as even further shot than he already is.

I'd say the same thing for Canelo, big fan, but Dervy has a slim but not insignificant chance to beat him too, but let's get to the crux of my argument "From a business perspective GGG or Canelo would be insane to fight Dervy first" because they will make little to no money compared to fighting each other. GGG aint getting any younger so delaying the 3 fight is not going to help, and Dervy will come out fighting from the get go as he knows he can withstand the best of GGG. I don't want to see GGG retire before we're treated to the end of the trilogy. Canelo first Dervy afterwards, GGG gonna need that retirement money before the rematch with Dervy.
Either GGG fighting Canelo or Derevyanchenko would be big money fights. Canelo more, but still millions with a Derevyanchenko fight. If you wanna keep dismissing that reality, go for it. If it helps you sleep at night. I don't care.

Can you enlighten me as to which post of reality I'm missing? You've basically agreed with what I said. Both are good fights of want to watch, but canelo fight makes more money as is more interesting. Dervy fight is interesting too, just not as much.
If GGG wins the 3rd you can bet Canelo will want a rematch as they'll be even. Both fights were all action so I know I'll get my monies worth.

GGG is fighting his mandatory next is what I have heard. He doesn't want to give derev a rematch, has zero interest in charlo and andrade. He is getting paid a lot to fight lesser opponents plus he has equity share or something to that effect at DAZN. I think he is not worth the $$$, and is sucking DAZN dry. He is, in business terms, a liability to DAZN. If DAZN is smart, they would pressure him to take the meaningful fights that boxing fans want to see, and not let him pick and choose, giving people unsavoury fights that no one asked for.
