    So much negativity

I'm convinced 90% of folks posting negative comments are either super young, or just started keeping up with boxing 2-3 yrs ago. I don't understand all of the hate. And the "diva" comments.....man, do any of you realize how much criticism Canelo has heard throughout his entire career? That's where the chip on his shoulder comes from. He's made a lot of fights, but no matter who he challenges and defeats -- there is criticism. Kovalev is not the weakest at 175....no one has really watched Bivol against top level competition. Or Beterbiev/Gvozdyk for that matter. We don't know if Kovalev could glide to a decision or not against these guys.....Bivol is not a real dangerous power puncher....He's fast and seems fundamentally sound. Beterbiev seems one-dimensional and Gvoz is strong and all-around above average, but let's not call any of those 3 elites just yet.

Does anyone really believe Derevchenko could beat Canelo? C'mon guys, just like Jacobs was going to and didn't really impress anyone -- although he had height, reach, size, etc. as advantages over Canelo. Does anyone believe Andrade or the Charlo wimp (at MW, I forget who's who) could fight Kovalev and NOT get their arse kicked badly? C'mon people, study up on this sport more extensively before making unfounded comments. And finally, who really believes Charlo or Boo Boo would win against Canelo?

The man was born to box and it's taken me a LONG TIME to become just a casual fan, but he's an All-Time Great already. Don't be so salty!!!! His time will pass soon enough, and someone else will be the top MW of their era

Yes, he is making history which is called "fighting the weakest champs"
      .
I could give that red azz PED user a huge credit, if he had fought

      Charlo at 154

Callum Smith or Benavidez at 168

Bivol, Beterbiev or Gvozdyk at 175

He fought only one great champion... but the results are so controvercial...

This is the truth that a lot of people don't want to accept. It's very clear what he's doing.

Dery gives nelo 1 hxll of a fight. Nelo wont beat andrade any easier than he did lara. Charlo might be his easiest match up but thats why fights get made and we watch. Nelo wasnt criticized at all until we demanded he unify with a 154 champ (at the time lara, charlos and andrade. He fought one of the 4 and never looked back... if all these title holders were the cake walks we think then he would have unified just to spite 3G right plus legacy wise it would be just him and bhop to have unified and canelo would be the only middle weight to do it in the 4 belt era.

no, I do not... but he is marching up that path, no question

                he is currently a first-ballot HOF'er

I agree 100% with the sentiment in that post I replied to

from fans in general... Canelo is being sold WAY short

mostly by butthurt fans because of their creepy man-love for Golovkin

Canelo (and Ward) are everything that most fans thought Golovkin would be

Wouldn’t having the opinion that he’s an atg right now be part of the sentiment that you 100% agree with?

The post also suggested that kovalev shouldn’t be considered less of a challenge than the other 3...do you agree with that too? I mean, I get that some of those other guys haven’t quite faced the opposition kovalev has(even though he came up short vs the best), but they also haven’t been stopped twice recently and aren’t looking diminished.

Why doesn't he do what other ATG fighters have done in the past. Clean out his division.

no, I clearly explained the sentiment that I agree with 100%

fkn oath I do... the current fanboy line, that " Kovalev is a scrub " ... is just ignorant crybaby rubbish from casual-fans

those other guys are not much more than rookies... none of them have much more than a dozen fights under their belt, and there are plenty of (recent) examples of untested guys failing to live up to their hype...

Kovalev would be a TOUGH fight for any light heavyweight... and he is a REAL TOUGH fight for a middleweight

writing off Kovalev... is the depth that the current casual-fan shltters that invade this site have sunken to... in order to somehow minimize Canelo, in order to somehow elevate Golovkin

actually, that talk is not to somehow elevate Golovkin, we are past that point... that talk is to somehow prevent Canelo from running over Golovkin career-wise and legacy-wise

you don't hear that kind of talk from knowledgeable insiders

FACT: you clowns would be crowing from the rooftops if Golovkin fought a live SMW, let alone a live LHW... and yes, Kovalev is still live

Kellerman was right, and so was I... you guys are going to have to live with that
