If all goes well for him and he becomes Undisputed World HW Champ then he retires in 12-14 months from boxing. Because Usyk said if he becomes Undisputed World HW Champ then he retires from boxing . He could have only 3 more fights left.....

The two unknowns that will dictate his HW run:

-Can he dominate the ring presence at HW like he did at CW when he is in with massive, 230+ fighters?

-How well can he take the bombs from the powerhouses at the top division?

Usyk will not end his career undefeated for sure. But if he answers the questions well, he can win belts and beat anyone in the division. If he fights 8 to 12 times at HW and gets a 6-2 or a 9-3 type record and a belt, the man is a lock for the Hall of Fame. If he betters that type of record and conquers most of the current top dawgs, he is making a case for top 50 in the past 50 years.

    good post

the two cruisers who had the most success at heavyweight were Holyfield and Haye... one was special, and one had special power... not sure if Usyk's abilities will be as effective/influential at heavyweight as those other guys

he is a excellent fighter and a great guy, you can only wish him the best... but heavyweight is a completely different game, and what I saw in the Bellew fight still bothers me

    Fury will give Usyk fits

What's up with Michael "The Bounty" Hunter? He couldn't replace Miller? He couldn't replace Parker? He couldn't replace Takam? Does DAZN really want him? Hearn should have let Usyk and Hunter run it back at HW! Hunter has won 6 straight fights since losing to Usyk at CW, and 4 have come by stoppage! Let the man eat!

        What a record!

WOW! 16-0 with 32KO's what a record!! He's actually knocked out every opponent twice! He's gotta be scary powerful!

Freaking Fury irritates everyone he fights. Poor Usyk... Fury could just smother and lean on him. What could he do?

Fury just about beat an unknown Euro bum yet the guy up there thinks he'll give Usyk problems?! Fury couldn't punch himself out of a wet paper bag. All he is good at is spoiling.

I think the best thing about Usyk is hes footwork and accuracy. I wonder with Fury is if Usyks speed and skill might cancel out some of Furys advantages, he struggled with Cunninghams speed albeit different style. Still, i wasnt over impressed by the Bellew fight, although Tony's brain is underrated.

Good observation. Bellow had a lot of success early on and in spots while Usyk was taking his time getting a read. I don’t know if that’s a luxury that could be afforded against the top 4 at HW. We’d have a better gauge if Usyk took on some middling hw’s, a Parker, pulev or Chisora type of fight. Going straight to the Joshua-Ruiz fight presents a big risk to his career at hw. I’m optimistic he’s a good dance partner for all the top guys, the hierarchy at hw right now seems a little flat, good time to mix it up.
