Jacobs barely beat SD, media said he was a top Canelo opponent. Why not GGG then?

I don't think its necessarily hate while some do hate on GGG. GGG looked tired early and pushing his punches at times. His timing was off like it was hard to pull the trigger so he was loading up instead of using a more methodical approach to breakdown his opponent. I still would like GGG-Canelo 3 and yes while styles make fights it is also clear this isn't GGG of 3 or 4 years ago. I would also like a GGG-SD rematch because it was a awesome fight. GGG is 37 and time is clearly running out. In his prime it would of been a dominate performance.

That too. True. Very familiar with each other.

Listen some people here make it seem like only the guy they like can fight and everyone else is scared of their guy. Or when their guy has a tough fight or takes on an easy opponent then they make excuses. I don’t I respect all men who step in the ring even those at the bottom of the ratings unless they’ve been tko’d by phantom punches or have taken obvious dives.

Just because I personally don’t think GGG is what the media hyped him up to be and I also believe the media are extremely soft on him compared to others. I do know for a fact that he’s a dog and he’s not easy to beat and if your not prepared he will beat you the **** you up!!

He’s a hard man and he punches with mean intentions unless your willing to give it right back to him every time because for the most part he’s gonna try to keep coming.

With that being said I still thought he lost to SD and DJ but I’m no judge and I respect the judges opinion weather I like it or not.

Canelo has fought Golovkin twice. When Canelo fought Jacobs that was the first time. Jacobs arguably beat Golovkin and he beat Derev. Jacobs deserved a chance.

GGG knocks down Derevyanchenko once early, wins the fight by 1 or more rounds, but some in the media are saying he's shot, he can't compete with Canelo anymore, and so on.

          What in the actual #@&%?

Canelo vs GGG 3 is still the biggest fight in boxing. The first two fights still did not provide a clear winner getting the official win. Even if GGG is 38, a clear win for either in a third fight is still the defining performance of their careers.

Are we all forgetting styles make fights? In some ways GGG looked more vulnerable vs Derevyanchenko than before, but he never looked close to even going down once, let alone getting knocked out. I think we're all so used to him looking invincible that we're overreacting now to the first sign of vulnerability.

For context, Canelo is fighting Kovalev next. Compare how Kovalev looked at the end of the first Alvarez fight to how GGG looked vs Derevyanchenko, if you want to talk about vulnerable, or "shot," fighters who are no longer worthy of fighting Canelo. GGG never even came close to that. So as I was saying, in some ways GGG looked more vulnerable, but in other ways he looked more clever and active and accurate landing power shots than he has since his prime. Banks didn't do a great job in some areas but he did do a good job in a few others, and it showed.

I'm not sure Canelo will get past Kovalev, but even if he doesn't, GGG vs Canelo 3 is still the fight that needs to happen in the MIDDLEWEIGHT division to determine a true #1. Then once we have the true #1, the rest of the division can start rolling and those fights will mean a lot more.

Right now, Canelo vs Andrade is marred by the fact that most don't feel Canelo is #1 at 160. GGG vs Andrade, similar thing, most feel he's #1, but officially he's #2. And same goes for Charlo or Saunders fighting these guys. Canelo vs GGG need to settle their business so that there is one guy, and one torch, ready to be passed to the next guy.
Who gives a ****? After all the **** that Golovkin talked (still thirsty after the money Alvarez could feed Golovkin's family with), Canelo told him to go and **** himself.

Canelo calls the shot, and he's made it absolutely clear that Golovkin can go and suck a **** until Canelo no longer has any interesting fights to work through, and then MAYBE Canelo will pay Golovkin again.

Canelo will fight Kovalev, and if he wins that fight, he's talked of a move back to 160lbs (likely for the Andrade fight)

Who does Jacobs deserve a shot at GGG or Canelo?

He deserved his shot at Canelo. As i said Jacobs arguably beat Golovkin and beat Derev. He deserved a chance. Golovkin has had two chances already.

It would be interesting to know how Canelo is putting on and taking of this weight yet still stays healthy and active.
Not many fighters can do what he's doing at the moment jumping up and down in divisions.
                Hmmm???

But what are you saying that Jacobs deserves a re-match before GGG?
Canelo beat Jacobs cleanly no doubt who won that fight.
Yet GGG v Canelo was seriously close in the second which most people thought G won in which leaves doubt between who is the best.
                  Don't you agree?

The thread starter is saying if Jacobs got his shot then Golovkin deserves a shot now. I'm pointing out the difference and why Jacobs got his chance. Canelo shouldn't fight either now. He'll get zero credit for beating Golovkin. Pointless fight. Fans should want the Golovkin-Derev rematch. Derev deserves a rematch.

SD definitely deserves a re-match and this should happen next but Canelo still owes GGG a rematch aswell.
Perfect scenario would be if GGG/SD fight next whilst Canelo/Andrade winner fights each other.
