He can still be allowed to fight pending an appeal of his A sample result. However, until the results of that B sample are both disclosed and revealed, then his WBC mandatory status will remain temporarily suspended and in a pending status; Via a formal inquiry and investigation into the matter by the WBC's sanctioning body.

Therefore, until the results of that B sample is disclosed, then he can kiss his WBC heavyweight championship bout against Deontay Wilder goodbye. Personally, I don't believe he wants to know the results of that B sample because chances are it's likely dirty just as his A sample was.

That is why he is appealing and postponing the testing of the B sample. The results of the B sample is his only way of clearing his good name and reputation and to reinstate his WBC mandatory status.
