1 Year in , DAZn has done Ok

First 6 months was sh.it but the next 2 months are heating up and I’m finally going to purchase the App , originally was going to sign up for the GGg/Sevre fight but I was out of town and a relative had it on his tablet , hope it’s overall better then the quality of that fight because it was constantly buffering throughout the fight

That’s a solid 2 months, best of the platforms to end the year hope they can keep it

They signed the 3 What was thought of as the 3 most marketable names in the sport , yet only 1 of them seems to move the needle and have people buying subscriptions

Hearns contributions has been nothing short of failure of the 5 fights I listed he’s respond for only 1 of them , Only Notable US names he could sign were fighters with no fans and has them fighting Opponets no one gives a f.uck about , his cards have been overall sh.it

If anything he’s hurt DAZn more then he’s helped them , his arrogance thinking he could come in throw a bunch of $ at figuters and they’d grovel just sign with him kiss his ring backfired and when it did basically resorted to mocking them insinuating that they’re just of dumb black nigs , A Person with a better Roster or Better Connections it in the US Marketplace or wasn’t a Rival Promoter would have probably been able to sign better fighters or at least make better fights

The fact he was originally supposed to be the Grand Czar Of the Platform and has resorted to promoting A Gimmick fight between 2 YouTubers that will be far and away his most successful event on the Platform should tell you everything you need to know about the job he is doing

I agree his US shows for the most part have been just okay and pretty much failures at the gate. But not just his cards, the DAZN end of year schedule is damn good. Already got a FOTY candidate last week and we still have three or four really good match ups to look forward to.

Those two YouTubers will have more of an impact on subscribers than any fighter he signs or any card he puts on though. DAZN needs subscribers so regardless of what you think about the fight, it is smart business to put that fight on DAZN.

i dont see why fans of pbc would care. they get bigger viewership, more revenue, more programming. that probably has a lot to do with it

I would be the type of Customer that would usually jump on DAZn but the first 6 months were atrocious and even up unTIL now there’s been only A handful of fights that I missed on there that I actually gave a sh.it about , now their schedule the next 2 months is fire with 5 legit fights, I Got to buy it now , For me Prograis / Taylor along with Nail / Beterbiev are the best fights left of the year.

Of those 5 fights , Hearn is responsible for just 1 ( Not including Hearn on Golovkin / Devre) , And that’s AJ/Ruiz and Ruiz had to pull off the upset maybe of the Decade to make it intriguing. Hearn has brought almost nothing to the table for DAZn , His champs May be skilled but they have no fans and almost exclusively fight nobodies

Agree it’s smart business for DAZn , not knocking their Hustle at all it makes complete sense for DAZn , DAZn needs Subs so I get why they put on this gimmick but what does that say about Hearns Effectiveness as HNIC when one of the only Fights that he’s put on that will bring in subs is basically a sideshow gimmick in a fight that he sh.it talked last year but he has been such a failure that he’ll pull a complete 180 show a complete lack of Character / Authenticity and promote the card because it’ll be the only card of his on DAZn that brings in Subs , It’s Kind of Degrading having Haney/BJS be the undercard for 2 unskilled nobodies making their cough... cough .. debut in a Circus fight . Let’s be honest I read these lames last fight did 1 mil PPV on YouTube so they have a built in audience you , me or a Chimpanzee from the zoo could be the Promoter and it’s still going to get Good Subs for DAZn , No ones signing up to watch Haney/ BJs beat down no name no hopers .


It’s just a way for Hearn to claim after a year he actually had a card that was able to attract a decent amount of subs and not the usual I’m assuming 50-200 ( I’m assuming most being the fighters friends & Family )people that sign up when he puts on sh.it like Vargas / Soto or When Farmer / Andrade fight some Janitor they brought over from Botswana. I’m guessing the amount of Subs Hearn generates on most of his cards make the Mosley / Mayorga PPV#s look like Mayweather / Pacquiao #s

Why are people here so eager to see Hearn fail? Sadly is the same people that wanted/want PBC to thrive. Why not wish him well, just like the same faction wish well to Al Haymon/TR, the same people that were criticizing other groups for wanting PBC to fail are doing the exact same thing.

Generally speaking many American boxing fans want Hearn to fail in the USA because of the manner in which he began his enterprise in the USA....by attempting to strip boxers from PBC thereby attempting to make that outfit fail. Hearn doesn’t have the luxury of “privilege” in which he is some how “entitled” to succeed at others expense just because he is English....and that is how he came off and that is certainly how his die hard English followers acted when he did start in the USA...claiming he was taking over, racially insulting anyone who didn’t get on board, etc....so absolutely there are those wanting him to fail. Are people supposed to smile and “yassa boss” when that happens?

First year worst year? Hopefully anyway. I like DAZN but they can only improve from here. They need to work on some minor things like audio technical issues and not having **** commentary.
