Guys that came out of no where.

There have been a couple of guys that we had never really heard of that have that boxing fans have sunk their teeth into. Ricardo torres, that fight with cotto was a power punching cliff hanger. Sergi Laikovich, Ya he fought quinn but was unheraled and then had a huge layoff and won a piece of the HW title. Sulten Ibragimov bursted onto the scene with a big year in 05. The cinderella man carlos Bauldomier came out of the blue to dominate really good fights in his last two fights and claim and defend the undesputed welter weight title. How else has exploded onto the scene that made the boxing world go, did you see that.

Diaz was known for quite a while since he won the belt and he still has not realy exploded onto the seen agienst a topfighter he is in my top 3 faves but will not go as far to say that all of a sudden it was like bam there he is ya know. Vic has come up quick and I though about him but I do not know enough about him or the lower weights to gauge if he just exploded onto the scene. I think we can now add jonathen banks as well he had been known in some circles but now he is a tv fighter with a huge win under him.

Juaz Diaz was also one of the decorated amateur olympians from the 2000 class.

Manny Pacquiao here in the States at least I'd say. He came out of absolutely nowhere to me. I thought Ledwaba was going to just be kicking another glorified journeyman's ass. Even when Pac won I didn't think much of him. Thought it was a fluke, against Ledwaba.

I have to agree with you about Baldomir, before the Judah fight no one on this forum ever really discussed him. I'm hoping that he wins his next fight against hatton or mayweather and becomes the next "cinderella man." I would love to see that.

For me Jorge Arce came out of nowhere and impressed me with that win over Hussein Hussein (sp), but then again I'm not really a big follower of the weights below feather.
