    GGG's Style Never Ages Well... it's a miracle he's a champ at 37

Name another great fighter with his forward pressure style that's still champion at 37?

it's very difficult. Tyson, JCC, Frazier etc were all done by the time they were in their early 30's. guys like Hagler and Tszyu quit in their early 30's too.

dude's had like 350 amature fights too.

Every case is different, I dont think you can compare fighters today to yester year, advancements in nutrition, information, ped use all play a factor.

Another thing to factor in is he went pro relatively late and had a lot of early nights coming through the levels = less wear and tear. Through no fault of his own, his competition was also very modest up to Kell Brook.

Hes also not just a pressure fighter, hes got more wrinkles to his game than that...although not as many as his super fans believe. Hes still a top fighter, I would have liked to have seen him tested more, for me he was never a p4p #1 type of talent as he was once anointed, more like a 5-10 type guy.. hes a problem for anyone in history, but all the elite guys who can take a shot and avoid shots, he would always have trouble with, and be in close fights with.

He has proven himself in the last few years and for me is a sure fire Hof'er. I think he has 2 or 3 good fights left in him, it would be great if one of those was against one of the young killers at 175...even if he loses, if he puts up a great fight it would be amazing. Also I want to see him fight someone where he isn't physically dominant

Pac barely resembles his former self. He’s still good but so is Golovkin, just not AS good. Are you blind or feigning blindness?

Pac's style ages slightly better. He's a quickness based dart in and out fighter. like RJJ who hit his wall at 38. He's not a face first brawler.

However, forward aggression and toughness fighters age the worst. Look at Maidana now.

Thats a good point, pressure fighters dont age that well.

golovkin would get absolutely destroyed at 175 lbs against a young fighter. hell, david benavidez would knock him out. he'd look incredibly ordinary.

i'm not so sure. he's noticeably slow.

if his power didn't diminish then he should be able to match up with the bigger weight class better due to his chin and toughness.

they won't have as much quickness on him.

this is one of the reasons for Pac's success later in his career. He's fighting slower guys than JMM

in his younger days, he was more ruthless than ggg!!! he was the definition of come forward! he took way more damage than ggg in his early days. and he's still able to compete at the top level even at 40. that was my point.
