these new crop of welters wouldn't trouble the golden boy AT ALL.

    EASY WORK
This is a weak era, I agree.

Lmao. Who gives a F about 147 now that HW is back. As soon as Pacquiao retires it will be hard to care about fights at 147 and I'm a Crawford fan.

Crawford would embarrass him and Spence would break his rib cage in half. He's nowhere near these guys' level. He belongs with Tito McBambi Legs and the rest. Current crop's just too refined.

these punks ain't at dat level
Fair point. Split decision. One round from a draw and he was shot then. Even Floyd’s Dad had Oscar winning.

😄😆😂 you dumb hoe! You don't know shet about boxing!
Oscar would toy with all these welterweights right now!
The only one who has any slight chance of beating him is Crawford.
          But he wouldn't be favored.
Oscar school's Spence, Porter, Thurman, and both Garcia's...
          FACTS!
So sit your dumb ass down little boy!!!

Oscar is trash by current standards. Crawford would run circles all around him. Oscar's caveman rock em sock em style would be tailor made for him. Can't deal with Crawford with that kind of footwork. He needs an upgrade.

And lol at you bunching up Spence with Garcia, Porter and Thurman. Not in the same league, as it was clearly proven. You ****s don't know what the **** you're looking at

Oscar beats Crawford at any weight especially at 140. Oscar was huge in that division and was a terror. He had size, speed, skills and power the complete package.

Spence brings nothing new to the table that Oscar has never seen. Spence gets fked up

The current Welters are not as skilled (except perhaps Crawford), but they are in much better physical and cardio shape. I think their nutrition and conditioning is much better. I think they are hitting harder as a group also. That would matter. I'm not sure the older generation got hit hard, often, like they would from these young guys.

Skill-wise DLH, Mayweather, Tito, Pac would be favored ... but one punch can change things in boxing. Spence, Porter, Crawford, might have upset the odds with their conditioning, strength, and relentlessness. They would be great fights if they were prime at the same time.

Upsets would happen. But the old guys would be favored.

Note: Mayweather was at a significant size disadvantage vs DLH. Floyd struggled for a long time to actually be WW weight-wise. It was a close fight that by rights Floyd wasn't supposed to be able to survive in. He survived and made it very competitive, and got a decision.

Mikey G. survived but wasn't competitive with Spence (even out-weighing him), and gets all this credit. But Mayweather survived and WAS competitive vs a much larger DLH (on fight night), enough to get a decision ... and haters can't even give him credit for staying in the fight and being DLH's toughest fight perhaps. It was a huge accomplishment for a much younger, smaller Floyd.

                Ridiculous.

His biggest wins weren't at 147. The only big victory at 147 that I recall is Ike.

De la hoya??? Curry would too. I said years ago before spence won the IBF and Thurman mysteriously started to get injured regularly that Curry would beat them all. Even a guy like Oba Carr, that just came up in the absolute wrong era for him, would be one of the top fighters at 147 today. Carr just couldn't catch a break either from the top guys he fought(though he lost to Bramble). 4 belts(not including the multiple WBA titles) per division and inactivity make a lot of these guys seem better than they actually are

These young kids dont know. Prime DelaHoya, Mayweather, Mosely, Trinidad, Forest & Pac would easily deal with todays welters. Yes even Crawford and I like him. Hes just too small. Belongs at 130-140.
Winky Wright & Fernando Vargas were also no joke
