these new crop of welters wouldn't trouble the golden boy AT ALL.

      EASY WORK
Oscar De La Hoya fought at 147lbs from 1997-2001, with a record at 147lbs of 9-2, 7 KOs.

You look at the names that Oscar fought (and when he fought them), it's clear that you're bugging

Skill-wise DLH, Mayweather, Tito, Pac would be favored ... but one punch can change things in boxing. Spence, Porter, Crawford, might have upset the odds with their conditioning, strength, and relentlessness. They would be great fights if they were prime at the same time.

Upsets would happen. But the old guys would be favored.

Note: Mayweather was at a significant size disadvantage vs DLH. Floyd struggled for a long time to actually be WW weight-wise. It was a close fight that by rights Floyd wasn't supposed to be able to survive in. He survived and made it very competitive, and got a decision.

Mikey G. survived but wasn't competitive with Spence (even out-weighing him), and gets all this credit. But Mayweather survived and WAS competitive vs a much larger DLH (on fight night), enough to get a decision ... and haters can't even give him credit for staying in the fight and being DLH's toughest fight perhaps. It was a huge accomplishment for a much younger, smaller Floyd.

        Ridiculous.
I would be confident that Shane Mosley hits harder than any of the top welters right now
