Credit to Sergiy but I think that second fight with Canelo, where he took a fair amount of punishment, took a lot out of GGG. I can't see Golovkin beating Canelo if they fought in a third fight, and he might get stopped. On that evidence can GGG beat Andrade or Charlo? It is debatable.

Has anyone noticed since Yarde/Kovalev? everyone is actually going to the body now. People always talk about it but they usually just head hunt instead and think that somehow they will succeed where everyone else failed.

Campbell hurt Loma to the body and Campbell struggles to hurt anyone normally. Golovkin has an iron chin and Derevianchenko was sensibly targeting the body a lot in this fight too.

Styles make fights. Watch SD's fight with Jack Culcay and you'll see a totally different fighter than the one who gave GGG all he could handle.
Not many fighters can do it but SD showed the blueprint for beating GGG. First have a good chin, next move into Golovkin and crowd him, keeping him busy with constant aggression and not giving him room to punch.
Sergei fought the fight of his life and comes away empty handed. There's no upside for GGG to give him a rematch so we probably won't see one and that's too bad for boxing fans.

Chenko all day. GGG had 3 opponents to showcase his skills. He could not finish Canelo, Jacobs or Chenko. Like a lot of us have been saying. He only knocks out bumbs. Give him some competition and he is not the beast he is when he fights the Steve rolls he's been fighthing all his life .

"But Brooks*******). He went up 2 weight classes to fight GGG. Come on fellas .

Time to Retire... Don't be Greedy

I'm a HUGE GGG fan. I thought he won both of the Canelo fights with the draw being a robbery and I thought he won a close decision in the second fight. That being said I was surprised by the outcome of Saturdays fight. I was cheering on Golovkin the whole night but as the 12th round ended I was sure he lost that fight. Golovkin may have won a gift decision just like Canelo did to him but he needs to be honest and look at the fight and then retire! He has more money than he can spend in a lifetime and is taking more and more of a beating in each consecutive fight even when he wins. He's had a great career, pack it in and enjoy your life GGG before permanent damage happens.

I was at a wedding I didn’t see the fight. Was it really as good as everyone is saying it was?

GGG for a good boxing eye didn't get old overnight. I the first Canelo fight I though it was a KO waiting to happen and he got a D and the in the second fight, he couldn't pull the trigger and got a L. GGG should retire as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary damage physically and of his legacy.

I know for sure Canelo team would jump to fight him next weekend and get that easy money. For the first fight, they wait a couple of years waitig for signs of decline in GGG, then they took the fight when the aging worrior was past his best.

You're apparently judging Deryvyanchenko based on what you read, not what you've actually seen. He's a very good fighter who will be a tough test for any of the MW elite...because he is part of the MW elite.

Your criticism is a bit unfair. How many other champions in the sport are knocking out the elite competition in their divisions? Knockouts happen mostly from clean power punching and top-shelf guys like Canelo don't get hit with a lot of those. When they do they generally have the beard to take it. That's what makes them elite.
