“That would be a terrific fight,” said Porter about a fight with Pacquiao. “Me and Errol Spence both campaigned [for it]. The winner of this fight would have the opportunity to fight Manny Pacquiao, and combine three belts. It made sense at the time. Ever since then, because the fight [with Spence] didn’t go the way we wanted, we were going to campaign for the rematch, and now Errol Spence has taken the dive he’s taken. So now we’re looking at Manny Pacquiao.

“We didn’t actually win the fight officially, but in a lot of ways, we on the hearts of millions. I think we made a humongous statement with the boxing world. I think the boxing world knows that a fight between Shawn Porter and Manny Pacquiao would be intriguing, exciting, and everything you want a boxing fight to be. Now you’ve got a good taste of who Shawn Porter is, and now that fight becomes intriguing.

“You now start to wonder if Manny Pacquiao can beat Shawn Porter. I think the age will be a little bit of a problem for Manny Pacquiao. If you watch the fight, there were plenty of low blows [from Spence]. He now understands why a lot of my fights are close,” said Porter.

"The fight with Manny Pacquiao definitely happens; I think it happens some time next year. Maybe in the middle or the end of next year, but I think it’s definitely going to happen." - Spence

If Spence had a fight and was nearly Koed by a B grade fighter and then Manny fought him I woulds say that.

If Spence destroyed Danny Garcia and then Manny took the fight I would give him his props .

        See the difference ?

That’s why in my past interviews I didn’t advise the fighting senator to take on this challenge,” Mr. Icasiano said in an online interview.

When a 50% 42 year old Pacquiao is a challenge for a big strong, skilled and quick welterweight like Spence, it really shows that the greatness of the former flyweight champ will never be surpassed.

I hope they will be no excuses when Pacquiao beats Spence.

Yeah the only think Spence will have on Pacquiao is his work rate in the latter rounds, which is not surprising giving that Pacquiao is 42.

              50% Manny lol, try about 75-90% .

How do you figure he is a challenge when they havent fought, Spence may prove its no challenge by stopping Manny its just speculation.

Right now we have no fight and Spence in a bad car crash, thats another asterisk if they fought next, give Spence a fight so we can see whats there and then Manny .

Thurman was only 50% and injured needing surgery and Manny got a close win, why do none of you Pac fanboys address Thurmans injury ?

In the mean time Manny can fight Porter, I bet he dont because Porter is too physically strong and a non stop brawler.

So why Pacquiao beats Spence you will claim it is because of Spence's car crash.

No point of it happening then.

Pacquiao punch out is about half of what it was in his prime, he has lost power, his foot speed, his hand speed, his reactions are way down and his defence has suffered.

He is about 50% of what he was in 2009/2010.

Spence needs to fight Porter again.

                    Porter arguably won the fight.

Porter learned his trade with Pacquiao being his inspiration.

World Champion Porter would not have happened without Pacquiao.

Youre a full blown fanboy because 50% would see him killed, but typically you make him smaller older etc and he is bigger lol, actually didnt they say his camp for Thurman was the best ever, you dont understand the difference from prime to past prime is a few milliseconds, Manny is far from shot but Id like to see him fight some A grade in form guys instead damaged goods.

And yes until we know what Spence has after the car crash its another asterisk if Manny fought him now and thats how manny works , he will drain you if he can or pick you at youre weakest time as in Thurman and now maybe Spence, Manny rarely fights the best guys without some bs behind it.

Why dont you start a thread and we will dissect every opponent since Hatton, weights measures and form going into the fight, Manny has so many asterisks on his resume its unreal.
