Golovkin should give Derevyanchenko a rematch

With so many fighters and media thinking Derev won, and with the fans at Madison Square Garden booing Golovkin after the decision, I think it's safe to say that there is unfinished business here.

    They should run it back.

    I agree

The fight could have went either way. He should not be like Canelo and give the Ukrainian his hard earned rematch

Canelo did give Golovkin a rematch, though.

        He should but he won't

He will definitely look ****** calling Canelo out while not giving Dervy a rematch

No Golovkin gave him a rematch. Golovkin still had the belts. When Canelo won the belts he didn't give GGG a rematch

Id argue since the first fight was a draw & the consensus was GGG won Canelo needed the rematch more than GGG did legacy wise.

But as to the main question. 100% they need to run this one back.

That's an odd way of looking at it... who ever heard of the challenger being the one to 'give' rematches? Golovkin retained his titles in the first fight, but he was mandated to give Canelo the rematch by the WBC... naturally given both the money involved and his belief that he should have got the W first time around he was hardly likely to object though.

I agree. it was an amazing fight, they should do it again. I think Gennady has 3 fights left. One of them should be Sergey. I don’t think he should fight both Canelo and Sergey (too old for that), and IMO fighting Sergey is the right thing to do.

... but yeah, rematch is order here I think.

I didn't actually score it last night, but I could have gone either way... much like Porter - Spence, fantastic fight with more of the cleaner harder shots coming from the favourite but much of the hustle, sustained aggression. and drive to win coming from the underdog.

Damn, man, Golovkin looked old in there though. If he can't convincingly get past Derevyanchenko at 37 I can't see any good ending against Canelo another 6 months or a year down the line.

Canelo had other options, he didn't have to agree to fight Golovkin again but he did.

Spence is willing to run it back with Porter. Let's see if Golovkin is with Derevyanchenko.
