I had no problem with the scores, GGG won the last 2 rounds to edge it

And people here still **** on Pacquiao for that Jeff Horn fight (which he clearly won) lmao....

Golovkin looks shockingly slow at age 37. He was never fast to begin with but wow! Reflexes are gone. Legs are gone, speed, timing etc....

        He’s done!

GGG May have lost this fight or not but to use the Horn-PAC example is a asinine.

Almost everyone who challenges PAC’s wins do so not because of Horn but because of fights against Brandon Rios, David Diaz, Clottey, Mathysse, Broner, Mosley (he had just lost to Floyd, etc.
when Horn was picked not a single soul knew who he was except the legions of PAC fans did their best to make him a bogey man just like they did Algieri.

PAC is going to fight Khan next and the response will be the same; propping Khan upbinto someone dangerous

This is sport, not art, and there needs to be better defined criteria for victory, and the values for each criteria need to be completely articulated.

Then again that assumes the powers that be want it like that. As long as they can shroud scoring and judging in such a way they can continue to manipulate results with impunity.

          Well said and beautifully written.

It’s not just the judges though. The biggest promoters (looking at Oscar and Bob) have the power to push for change but have zero inclination towards doing that for obvious reasons.

They are the ones with the fighters and the money. They can fix this BS

Oh I agree 100%, its kind of why I am de facto a fan of many boxers who doesn't sign on with them, and why I cited the 'powers that be' as not wanting to change it.

They swindle the fans, flout the rules, and rig the system all to get the biggest scrap the sporting fans leave behind for them. Failing to realize that if they worked together (and recognized the actual competition is other forms of entertainment) there'd be a larger pie for all. In the end we the fans are the ones who lose out.

I find it hard to give Chenko any more than 5-6 rounds though so I don't see how people can say he won. Even with 6 rds the KD swings it towards GGG

People assume just cause GGG doesn't KO his opponent or has tough outting that means he must have lost. BS.
I scored 8/4 Sergiy with an extra PT for the knockdown for GGG. 115-112 Sergiy.

Yeah that's just BS. That's means you'd have to give Sirgey every close round when the fact is although he was more active in a lot of rounds a lot of his punches were partial, not landing or blocked with G's glove and GGG was landing the more cleaner shots which is why the 1 judge scored it 114-113 for GGG which is probably the most accurate account of what occurred.

What would the criteria be? Even if you count punches landed that could be deceiving and unfair to a fighter who lands the more telling blows throughout.

I would rather have trainers, retired and active boxers or even boxing analysts judge fights.
The idiots that we have are all in the pockets of promoters and none of them ever boxed so why put a boxer’s career and life in the hands of these idiots.
