I thought Golovkin clearly won the 11th yet 2 judges scored it for Derevyanchenko.. that's the kind of fight it was. About 4 o5 clear rounds and 7-8 close ones

imho, Charlo Andrade and Derevyanchenko are all still 1 good win away from being in a position to demand anything from Canelo... but Derevyanchenko could be the best qualified of the 3

fcuk Charlo and Andrade if they refuse to take the obvious step that is required... not only will they not fight each other, they won't fight Danny Jacobs either... Derevy has stepped up twice now, I am tired of waiting for those other guys to make themselves relevant

Alrighty so.. judges agreed on:
1 - G
5 - SD
7 - G
12 - G

I'm surprised they didn't agree on 2nd round (2/3 gave to G). Anyway, that's 3 clear rounds to G + KD and 1 for Sergey. Great fight overall, with hotly disputed result. Let's see a rematch!

Once again, another mark towards altering the judging criteria in boxing. The level of ambiguity in what judges are supposed to be scoring is ridiculous; the fact that multiple trained professionals can consistently look at the same thing but see it different ways further punctuates that.

This is sport, not art, and there needs to be better defined criteria for victory, and the values for each criteria need to be completely articulated.

Then again that assumes the powers that be want it like that. As long as they can shroud scoring and judging in such a way they can continue to manipulate results with impunity.

Derevyanchenko was robbed. He actually beat GGG.

I think this is further evidence to how badly GGG is aging. So much for that fighting til he's 70 take.

Close fight. The closest GGG came to defeat. Can see why Canelo ducked Dereyvchenko but still felt GGG edged by a point even though I was rooting for the Ukrainian. I always felt Jacobs did the best vs. GGG but now it’s Sergey.

Eye witnesses are unreliable. If uve ever been jammed up by the cops u will know they all saw something different unless they collaborate. I’ve mentioned scoring each minute of each round. Or at least more even rounds. A round that’s “too close to call” should be even, otherwise it looks like the judges are worlds apart. I see no easy solution. I know sum sports use the erase the lowest and highest score system. Not sure how to integrate that into boxing or if it’s been proven to be effective. Adding more judges creates its own problems I’m sure. Makes u understand why they used to fight till someone couldn’t get up again.

Scoring looks pretty accurate to me. A close fight with the knock down making the difference much like we saw in Spence vs Porter last week.

I find it hard to give Chenko any more than 5-6 rounds though so I don't see how people can say he won. Even with 6 rds the KD swings it towards GGG

People assume just cause GGG doesn't KO his opponent or has tough outting that means he must have lost. BS.

Golovkin looks shockingly slow at age 37. He was never fast to begin with but wow! Reflexes are gone. Legs are gone, speed, timing etc....
