Difference is that Derevyanchenko was not being unfairly rated as a stepping stone. Most thought he would give G a fight, and he did.

NSB regarded Porter as a bum that would get knocked out by the 'eye test' and not recognizing Porter as a tool fighter.

Please.....don't even compare the 2 fights. Spence/porter was a classic where spence edged out porter. GGG/derev was a fraudulent fight where GGG got dominated and got gifted a decision. Unanimous decision my a$$.

Poor comparison. Your description fits this fight but not Spence/Porter. Just because a bunch of people got upset that Spence didn't lose doesn't make it controversial like this fight.
