It’s the difference between a child and a person with emotional awareness. A child strikes out and throws punches over words. An adult with emotional awareness let’s the charade play out but is always ready to defend him/herself when punches are thrown.

A child serves time and has a record and whose employment opportunities are squandered because they can handle their emotions. An adult defends him/herself, wins assault lawsuits, stays out of jail and has a good career as a non-convict.

Terroristic threats are also a felony. He deserves at least 2yrs for threatening that woman. He also followed her when she was being escorted out. You are missing the entire point here. This was not a case of self-defense. This was an unprovoked attack on an old man. My only hope is that non of the elderly or senior citizens in your family like your grandparents are unprovokingly attacked, savagely beaten or knocked unconscious like James Ali Bashir was.
