Sounds like GGG is still chasing Canelo instead of doing his own chit

Triple flop needed 2 tries to maje the 170 limit today. he obviously is not a natural middleweight. he is a light heavy weight since his comfort weight is around 175 lbs. triple flop is always the bigger fighter in all his fights other than jacobs. such a coward who doesnt fight guys his own weight but pics on smaller guys. in fact he shld b fightg kovalev not canelo. but the coward knows his little fan base will slurp everything he gives them. expect murata next then mungia then his mandatory . 3 non threats like always.Comment

By Barry Holbook: Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin needed two attempts to make the 170-pound limit for the IBF second day weigh-in this morning for his fight tonight on DAZN against Sergiy ‘The Technician’ Derevyanchenko. Golovkin (39-1-1, 35 KOs) weighed in at 170.2 lbs on his first weigh-in try, and he then stripped down and made the weight at 170 lbs. For his part, Derevyanchenko successfully made weight.
Someone is struggling with weight... but, he small doe...Comment

Kovalev probably walks around in the low 200s. Is that you in the pic with Guerrero? You’re smaller than a 5’8 welterweight, and yet you’re telling me you’re bigger than canelo? Sure buddy... I don’t know why you feel the need to embellish the truth, you could just be an adult and acknowledge canelo probably walks around at 180 in the very least... I mean his fight day weights from years ago was already in the mid 170s. Idk why that’s even an issue that needed to be addressed aside from refuting your idea that canelo is doing extraordinary things and apparently ggg should move up too. They are different fighters with different career trajectories, clearly.Comment

160 is his natural weight, but I he should move up. There are no big fights left at 160, and all the decent opponents left are on PBC (except Andrade, not sure why they didnt make that).
168 is VERY interesting now. He should have fought Gilberto Ramirez a couple of years ago, but even though Zurdo moved up, there is still Benavidez and Callum Smith left. Benavidez would make a terrific Mexican-style war. Callum Smith is very underrated, WBSS winner. Beating Callum in prime of his career after he won WBSS would be a tremendous boost to G's legacy, and even if he doesn't win, it's an extremely interesting fight style-wise. Callum would have huge height, weight, and reach advantages.
He's 37. He mostly cleaned out MW, made a huge name for himself, became very successful financially. Time to chase greatness.Comment

just so that you know kova said he doesnt have a problem if a rehydration weighin is needed, he enters the ring under 185 , so if you think that canelo walks around bigger than what kova weights in the ring then i dont know what to tell you... like i said i seen canelo in person and he really is smaller and also in much better shape than me...Comment

im 5 10 11ish, and that is not guerrero, thats mw marco rubio weeks before his fight with ggg, rubio back then was a heavy mw, couldnt even make 160 for his ggg fight and never went back to mw LMAO...

That was my bad thinking that was Guerrero. I apologize. I still stand by the notion that he walks around at 190 from anecdotal accounts. Either way I think canelo taking on kovalev is a big risk and props to him, but I’m also a fan of GGG and I think that it’s not fair to compare both fighters as they’re in different parts of their careers.Comment

I never really agreed with the notion that Golovkin is a big middleweight
he never looked like he was killing himself, and often came in well-under the limit... sometimes 1-1.5 lbs under
but I do agree it could be more difficult for him now than earlier
does Golovkin use a s&c coach/dietitian/etc... ?Comment

nah, he makes 160 easy... or at least, he did
Loeffler said Golovkin only wants championship level fights from here
I know, I know... but, he said it
which means... if no Canelo, then Andrade/Charlo are next
I agree with you, I thought they would target Murata... it seems a logical fight for them, and they discussed it before Murata lost to Brant
we will see
I am not a Golovkin fan... but to be fair, Golovkin probably should just look for money-fights from here...
if they have recently decided to remove Gennady's training wheels... then good for him, aboutfkntime... if not, then I suppose he should think about finding an easier job
that sure was a hellacious fight... props to both guys
Derevy has moved from 'very good' ... to ... 'VERY good, borderline excellent'... Golovkin is still excellentComment
