How in the world does a guy like Dereyevchencko get $5 million when he's never even won a world title , but Orlando Salido won 3 belt's in 2 weight classes & several fight of the year awards with a better resume then Golovkin & Dereyevchencko combined and him getting $1 million was considered "ridiculous" & "pricing himself out" , a tactic used by Bob Arum & Lomachencko to duck him.

The only explanation is these are the racist politics in boxing used against Mexican Fighter's.

    Burn in hell S.O.B's!
Luis Ortiz has never won a world title either, and he's getting $7 million.

I guess they are biased for Hispanics.....

I don't see how these boxers command such big paydays. There's only a couple of boxers that command big cash and sell. But even Canelo does not generate the kind of cash that dazn is paying him. Even Deontay wilder and other PBC boxers get paid huge sums of money and generate very little in return. These promoters have all got to be cash flow negative big time. It just does not make any sense.

This finally makes a bit of sense. The cash value of the GGG is at most 50 million with the rest We Work stock.

          - -Deyonce made a record $4mil his last fight, peanuts to what AJ been raking in.

Al near bellyup a few years back got a shady infusion to keep him floating.

I have no problem with the purses. If someone is willing to pay you that much you take it.

Good on both these guys making bank.
DAZN had to over price to get into the market.
GGG and Canelo both took advantage of this and now are reaping the rewards of signing when they did.
Brilliant business decisions by both fighters.
DAZN will never again inflate fighters purses to the extreme of Canelo and the G.

If he’s making anywhere close to what Canelo offered him to fight GGG, Canelo didn’t offer him fair market value.

                    This is common sense.

Well its a lot worse than that.

Its a private company, its not publicly traded. Sure there could be a "book value" of shares but since it is not bought and sold on a daily basis, there is no real established worth of what anyone would really buy it for.

GGG could try to sell his stake tomorrow and guarantee he aint getting no where near 7.5 million for it and he would have to find someone who is willing to buy it.

It seems like DAZN is handing out shares in the company in place of cash because they are running out of cash.
