Mayweather was the all around better fighter, people will say ray because he was more exciting or because they hate floyd, he got hit way more as a result of the excitement, he also wasn't very good fighting off the ropes. both were great tho

I think Floyd was more talented but Leonard was the better fighter. Like how David Robinson is more talented than Shaq but not better.

        Talent alone?

Are we counting punching as a talent? I mean as in the puncher's form. Boxing, as in hit and don't be hit back, points, boxing is a bit different from punching in stance, structure, pacing, footwork, baits over fients? things like that?

Against marginal opposition maybe. Otherwise, Leonard could fight on the inside and outside, was a better puncher.

Floyd was brilliant at what he did and his work ethic is second to none. I'll take Ray Leonard as being a greater fighter. But, we're talking about two elite guys here.

I think Floyd was a more polished and technically sound fighter than Ray Leonard
