I've been watching Floyd and Leonard's early fights lately. Both had great amateur careers. Obviously, they were both incredibly talented fighters. But who would you say was more talented?

Floyd Mayweather or Sugar Ray Leonard, who was more talented?

Ray Leonard. He was more versatile, a more complete fighter who could do it all, and against better competition.

Floyd's prolonged discipline and good habits is what makes him one of the best ever. Wasn't changed by the money and the fame like Roy, Ray, Tyson, etc. Max effort for his entire career. Bhop and Hagler are also cut from this cloth.

Leonard was more talented and electrifying and the fights of the late 70's/early 80's between all those superstars was amazing. Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Benitez, Cuevas as a team would have annihilated any Welterweight era in boxing history! Even Cuevas, considered the least of them was a crushing puncher who defended his title 10 times and was the youngest Welterweight in history.

SRL all day...
SRL was. As proven over the course of his incredible career. He ducked NOONE! Floyd's insecurities as a man, hurt his career as a fighter. He was really doubting his own abilities by not taking certain fights and by not giving Manny his much deserved rematch. He turned down Winky Wright, Paul Williams, Vernon Forrest, Margarito, the Oscar rematch, the Cotto rematch, and the Pacquiao rematch. When a fighter does that with BIG money on the table, it tells you they are not sure they can either WIN or WIN again.
In conclusion, SRL would've KO'ed Floyd and MOST welterweights who came after him. He is arguably the greatest of all-time. His losses to Norris and Camacho happened, only because he was OLD. Period. He would've KO'ed them both in his prime.
PS. Manny's win over Thurman recently, puts him in my top 5 fighter's of all-time. Floyd isn't even top 20. Don't "@" me either. He did it to himself.

I’m not gonna get into it with the fanboy’s who think boxing started in 1996, cause there’s only one answer to this question and it’s...
...Sugar Ray Leonard.
