After the loss*to Daniel Jacobs (35-3, 29 KO’s), Derevyanchenko took on Jack Culcay (26-4, 13 KO’s), and in victory put himself*in the mandatory position to fight Canelo for the IBF title. The fight was on the table, but*they were unable to reach an agreement -*leading to Canelo*getting stripped of the IBF middleweight title.

I don't think he is hard to negotiate with. After all Jacobs ended up with over 40% of the purse split when they fought. Derevyanchenko is getting more than Canelo offered. Brook got the same deal Eubank was going to get until his Dad sabatoged the negotiations. The deal was done in record time. The first Canelo fight went smoothly. Derevyanchenko would have pulled the same stunt with Golovkin because Golovkin needed a dance partner to make the May date.

Why are they lying? Most of us have been following this story from the beginning. Canelo offered 5.5 million and GGG only paying 5 million. Basically he was scared of Canelo
        Dear John Castellanos,

I am privileged to report to you that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is very impressed by your deepthroating ability, and would like to offer you a position on his shaft.

If you are obliged to accept this offer, continue doing what you are currently doing.

        Regards,

        People of Planet Earth.

Since Canelo offered him 5.5m and GGG 5m

It seems they only reason Chenko is taking more money is because his team and promotion are not dipping their fingers in the jar of money.... It makes no sense for chenko to NET more money while Grosing 500k less

            Team Derevyanchenko were smart

            they took...

            1) the most winnable fight
            2) the option that gave them the best chance to land BOTH paydays

It makes perfect sense that Chenko is pulling what kovalev pulled with YARDe! Chenko is taking the more winnable and less profitable fight first and he’s banking on an ultimate payday vs Canelo!

No, Canelo isnt a puncher. In fact, its been a long time since he knocked out a world class fighter who wasnt previously crushed in a round.

What are you babbling about now. The Yarde fight was a done deal when Canelo approached him. Kovalev would have had to pay Yarde step aside money compensate the Russian broadcasters and tell his Russian fans the fight was cancelled. There was no way that was going to happen. He didn't pull anything.

Which world class fighter did Golovkin knock out again? Was it Jacobs or Alvarez? I can’t seem to remember.

Glad he is making more money.
Now lets see what he makes of this opportunity.
