Yea gotta agree. With all the good takes on the first fight a rematch is only doing more money.

Also it gives Errol a chance to be very Floyd-like with running back a decision deemed controversial by some fans.

FOX PPV will likely be able to bear 4 events, but there's likely to be more than 4 PPV viable events in 2020 (and likely going forward); Spence-Danny, Pacquiao-Mikey, Spence-Pacquiao, Spence-Thurman, Wilder-Fury 2, Wilder-Joshua, Wilder as undisputed heavyweight champion, Davis-Farmer, Davis-Lomachenko, Canelo-Jermall [yes, Canelo is on DAZN, but they want the third Golovkin fight, and Canelo isn't in the mood to piss on Golovkin if he were on fire, so an impasse is there], Davis-Santa Cruz, and likely a few I'm forgetting.

Will be interesting to see how things shake out
      Wilder is on what?

And SHO likely gets Tank's PPV if FOX only wants 4-5 in a year.

SHO PPV though? I mean he also needs the opponents. You aren't putting him on PPV just yet unless it is a solid name. Who is that name? And I think SHO will get some of the PPVs moving forward.

I'm sorry, but I'm just not seeing how this fight even sold 200k. Not that many people know Spence or Porter. Maybe it did, but I don't know how.

I thought Loma or Berchelt were buy fights at 130. At 135 I think there are more. Some sexy names there. Loma still. Devin now. Teo. Or Mr Instagram. Most of those feel smallish but I believe off of their fans all have buy possibilities.

Wilder has the Ortiz rematch on PPV, and a win there moves him on to the Fury rematch in early 2020 (hold onto that February date if you want, I'm not buying that it's been ironed out like that yet).

Wilder wins that fight, and Joshua is the next blockbuster to get to; we'll see what Hearn does, but I'm assuming we end up with Wilder-Kownacki from Barclays Center in the summer first on PPV.

Wilder wins that fight and Wilder-Joshua likely closes out 2020 (Sky Box Office in the UK, Showtime PPV in the US)

FOX, FS1 and FS2 promoted this fight constantly for weeks. When tens of millions of people are told over and over how great a fight is going to be, a few hundred thousand will order.

                  Four to Five a year
                  2019 Fox
                  Mar Spence-Garcia
                  June Pacquaio-Thurman
                  Sep Spence-Porter
                  Nov Wilder-Ortiz II

Welp, that's four and Showtime had one in Jan Pacquaio-Broner.

And yes, that slate is supplemented by a likely 4-8 PPV events per year (with the PPVs eventually shown on Showtime or FS1 later anyway).

10 shows for the price of owning a TV, 22 shows if you've got a basic cable package, and basically 45 cards if you pay extra for Showtime (adding in the ShoBox cards).

You don't have to buy the PPV
That’s the thing, no one is forced to pay for ppv. Just don’t watch it. I don’t want to see the fights on dazn so I don’t suscribe. It’s pretty simple actually. I will however pay for every lady PBC and ESPN ppv and I suscribe to ESPN+. Great time to be a boxing fan, so much choice that you don’t have to watch it all

There wasn’t a million dollar guarantee. Your ignorance is bliss. Try 12 mil. That’s as ignorant as people thinking Spence and porters guarantees were 2 mil
