Throwing in the towel is still being done and it's a good way for the corner to stop a fight right now. The referees almost always stop the fight right now when the corner waves or throws in the towel and fights are still being stopped that way every year.

I think there should be a brown towel and a rainbow towel in solidarity with our POC and LGBT communities respectively. The whole 'white towel' reeks of institutional racism/white supremacy - it's like; "Yo referee stop the fight, you answer to me and my white authority". Who else thinks they have the power to just stop a fight by throwing a towel (probably made of cotton too - the symbolism is real) other than some old white supremacist (who is likely Christian and a redneck southerner too who votes for Trumpf)?

The white towel is outdated. I wouldn't even object to a pink towel to raise awareness of the sexual discrimination that females face every single day of their lives in this **** culture that is western civilisation. I also can't help but feel this is Trump's fault, especially in this political climate he could easily say something, but he doesn't....I wonder why?...
