Wrong. Spence just wants to get paid and Arum doesn't want to pay him. Pay Spence what he is worth and he will fight Crawford. Arum is holding up the show not Spence. Spence has high dollar options so he doesn't need Crawford unless he is well paid but they won't offer to pay him anything so why should he bother. Spence fears no welterweight. Why should he when he is the best welterweight. Crawford fights much weaker fighters than Spence fights time after time. Let Crawford fight Porter. I am sure Porter would take that fight but I doubt Arum would.
This is how you know Bob is lying about Spence PPV numbers

I don't think we will ever get honest PPV numbers going forward. PBC will inflate their numbers while competitors like Arum will try to downplay their numbers. Maybe we just split the difference? We are in an era of boxing where anything over 300K is now considered very good numbers. That seems to be the benchmark for a successful PPV, especially if the fighters aren't earning 8-digit paychecks.Comment

Here is how you know Arum is lying about the Spence PPV numbers:
-First he said it did 170k buys
-Later in the day he said it did 130-150k buys
The man will come out tomorrow and said it didn't do 100k buys.
Hearn who has no dog in the race and is always known to undersell his competitors numbers said he doesn't think it will do quite 300k buys but won't be far off.
Evan Rutkowski who was a CONSULTANT to the Crawford/Khan PPV said he is hearing it will get near 300k buys.
Coppinger said it will surpass 300k buys.
So three different sources from three different people who don't work together all say this fight either surpasses 300k buys or gets near it, yet Arum is saying it may do as low as 130k buys? Arum is still hell bent on demanding 50/50 and said they need to stop putting these two on PPVs since they keep losing money...But is that reality or is HE just losing money on his fighter? You could say Coppinger is overstating a bit and Hearn/Rutkowski are more accurate in that it won't quite pass 300k buys, but it will come close. But we are to believe Arum who is reporting it will do over 150k less than that? It's clear as day what he is trying to do here. Just got to hope he doesn't end up screwing Crawford because of this.Comment

Come on man, Do you not listen to interviews with Spence? Hes saying it loud and clear. "Im not worrying about Crawford right now" "I want Pacquiao or i want Danny Garcia" "Crawford is at the back of the queue". Its not like you need to read between the ****ing lines here is it.Wrong. Also why cant the PBC make an offer to Crawford, Or a joint venture, Bobs mentioned a joint ventue now but the PBC wont mention Crawfords name and have even gone as far as dismissing the WBO belt. You want Crawford to cross the street but then you want Arum to pay for it too?Comment

and this is why boxing, as a sport, hasn't got the credibility other sports have. Imagine one pro team not playing another because their attendance numbers weren't good. Or not inviting a golfer to the Masters or tennis player to the US Open till they got X amount of facebook friends or followers on twitter.Comment

Just got to hope he doesn't end up screwing Crawford because of this.Multiple sources have informed BoxingScene.com that Spence-Porter probably will have produced approximately 275,000 buys, based on initial projections from cable and satellite operators. Spence’s first FOX Sports Pay-Per-View appearance – a unanimous-decision defeat of Mikey Garcia on March 16 – reportedly generated about 330,000 buys.
Bill Wanger, FOX Sports’ executive vice president of programming, live operations and research, expects that the broadcast network will maintain that pay-per-view pace or close to it over the final three years of its deal with Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions. Wanger discussed FOX’s pay-per-view strategy and other topics during an interview with a small group of reporters prior to the press conference Saturday at Staples Center to officially announce the Wilder-Ortiz rematch.
That is the 4th different source that has the PPV nearing 300k buys. But again, we are to believe Bob here? The man WITHIN HOURS switched his number from 170k to 130k LOL. Keep an eye on that as he does more interviews.Comment

If you want to go off quotes, Crawford said, "I don't need Spence, he needs me more."Come on man, Do you not listen to interviews with Spence? Hes saying it loud and clear. The fight should happen next year PERIOD. Don't care which fighter needs the other more or he needs me and I don't need him etc. Just get it done.Comment
