I recall seeing a pretty underwhelming crowd size for Trinidad vs Roy Jones at msg. I was actually able to just move down sections because so many seats were open. That fight would've filled up the entire arena a few yrs earlier but by the time they fought, it was like a seniors tour to the fans. Pretty sure they both got paid pretty well either way though.

I can’t imagine DAZN is making anything on this fight with low ticket prices and no PPV revenue.
I don’t think they will much action on subs for this one. I would imagine a lot of people would wait until Nov or December with Canelo/Kov and AJ/Ruiz 2 coming up if they haven’t jumped in yet.

nah, Kovalev has developed much better as a pro than Beterbiev

also, Golovkin is simply not as good as advertised... he has underachieved... whereas, Kovalev has over-achieved... he lived up to his killer tag

well dazn is a subscription service so they're probably banking on their subscribers watching. They don't rely on PPV buys. If boxing fans in general subscribe because of their line up which includes ggg, Canelo and Joshua, then they feel that they're getting their money's worth because as a unit those guys drive up subscriptions. If this fight was ppv, it probably wouldn't crack 300k buys.

What is Triple “D” talking about. D as in Triple Drunk. Canelo had other options. What about Andrade, Saunders, Charlo, Callum Smith. DAZN probably would have approved any of them outside of Sergey.
