Golovkin vs Derevyanchenko fight week and NO ONE CARES!!!

I do think the buzz from the Spence/Porter fight has taken something away from this fight. It was a great fight and you are mainly just seeing threads on Spence/Porter/DSG/Crawford right now. And let's be real, it is definitely a solid match up, but Derevyanchenko isn't a big name or anything. GGG fighting Rolls last time out and the trilogy falling apart doesn't help either. No question GGG's name value has slipped a bit from a few years ago. Doesn't matter to me though, this is a good fight.

I agree 100 % Everyhting you said is right. Spence-[porter was a better fight than many believed and it has taken some luster from this fight. Not to Mention Canelo -Kovalev next, Kovalev way more known than Dervy and then the heavyweight fight in Saudi Arabia. GGG is kind of surrounded by anticipated fights. So yeah Spence and Porter was more highly anticipated and exceeded the billing as far as the action went.

It's true. I have DAZN and this fight was on my radar, however, it did sneak up on me that it was this weekend.

DAZN is paying around 20 million for this fight just to the headliners. This is a fight they created in order to try to force Canelo's hand into a third GGG fight. And they have already just written this fight off as a sunk cost. So, yeah they have to find a way out of his contract.

For 99$ a year, DAZN is delivering a constant stream of good to great boxing cards. That said, these cards often exist in a vacuum due to the small number of US subscribers.
