Ok even better, Groves was #1 at 168 at the time. We will go with that
Where was Dirrell ranked?
Who cares about rankings? You just showed why rankings are nonsense with Ramirez at #1 anywhere. Your boy ADONIS was #1 at LHW for years just bc he was lineal champ & fought nothing but nobodies until he ran into Gvodzyk. Lol. Point is, Benavidez did what he did to a quality 2× champ at the top of his game who has never been dominated like that by anybody before. Groves has been handled by every big name he's faced. Simple as that. As far as resumes go, neither Groves nor Dirrell beat anybody great so they're both even par imo. Do you bruh.
[QUOTE=Griever0730;20096057]Ain't forget none of that. YOU felt he got beat by both of them, which is understandable as they were close, ugly fights. I felt he edged them out. I'm talking about who they were at the time of their fights. Groves was past it coming back off of surgery when he went at it with Smith. Dirrell was still on top of his game when he went at it with Benavidez. If you wanna judge by resumes, Degale was barely starting his career when he beat him & the other two are journeyman/contenders that never beat anybody notable either. They would be pretty much the same imo. Neither guy beat anybody great.[/QUOTE
Bika clearly beat him. Yildrim was closer, but he still took it by 2 points.
I never said Groves was in his prime. He was past his best. But he wasn't shot like you say he was. He was still on top and world class. Dirrell however has never been good or proven without robberies. Much less when he was clearly past his best and losing his fight before Benevidez. So to say he was still at the top of his game, is nothing but fantasy.
Groves had had 12 fights when he fought Degale, Degale had had 10. They were both on level pegging when it came to the pros. But Degale had the better overall experience by the fact he was the Olympic champ and the big favourite to win that fight.
I never said Groves beat anyone great. He beat a couple of good fighters and some decent ones. But that's better than Dirrell who beat absolutely no one without robberies. Sorry, but Smith is clearly the most proven at the weight. I actually can't believe you're arguing against this. It's just obvious to anyone who knows boxing.
Groves was on his way out and lost just about every championship fight he had. Eubank is not highly ranked by most. Smith can fight BJS or Benavidez. As long as they are champs, i'll watch. That guy on the Joshua undercard was horrible and Smith has done nothing since retiring a shop worn Groves. So many rate Smith as #1 and I want to see this so called #1 fight any other champ. I also have no issue with Benavidez vs Plant in the meantime.
Groves had 7 world championship fights, he won 3 of them. The Jack fight was close even with Groves having the wrong trainer. had he had it together when they fought, he would have won that fight.
I've said Groves wasn't in his prime. But he was still world class. Dirrell never has proven himself world class. He even lost to Yildrim before the Benevidez fight and got a gift. He was clearly more past it than Groves was. Groves dominated a Eubank who blew Yildrim away in one sided fashion in 3 rounds before the Smith fight. Dirrell actually lost against Yildrim and got a gift. He never had the capability to do to Yildrim what Eubank did.
Eubank would smash Dirrell around the ring within 6 rounds. He wouldn't hold back like Benevidez did for so many rounds looking like a mummy out there.
Smith is calling out Benevidez, but he and his team don't want to know. They said they have Yildrim next, and then another planned fight that doesn't need to happen. But Yildrim popped dirty, so lets see what excuses Benevidez comes out with next. Smith is ready to go.
Im talking about the full range of bs not just the banned substances sh^t. Dont argue one thing with me like thats the only thing Im saying. BJS is a f#ckup who can fight.
Canelo & GGG got him beat 100%. Id argue Danny does to. But he is probably 4th in resumes thinking about it off the top of my head. There is certainly an argument hes 4th I gotta figure if there is someone Im forgetting right now.
What else boxing related has Saunders done? had a couple of pull outs due to injury? And that's worth him being viewed in a different light? His ******ity outside the ring doesn't interfere with what he does inside the ropes. It just shows what a tit he is as a person. But nothing more.
I'm talking about Saunders having the best resume at 168, not 160. Just that he achieved it at 160.
I agree with Golovkin having the better resume, but not Canelo and Jacobs. Canelo has only legitimately beat Trout and Jacobs. Jacobs has only beat Quillen and Chenko. So they're not far off each other being fair.

Bruh we going back n forth in circles. I think Ive said the same thing 4 different ways already. You think x I think y & we arent changing our stances no matter how much we go back n forth.
I get tired of looking for & quoting articles here for basic info thats out there. There are stories on THIS f#cking site from 2016 to 2019 where cats are saying BJS wants too much money or BJS himself is saying he needs more money for a fight. Its a thing. If mfers lying on him or hes trying to get headlines or mfers trying to get headlines off of him idk, but the info is out there. As we are both not behind the scenes guys idk that either one of us necessarily know whats going on behind the scenes, but for me when I hear sh^t over & over I start to believe it & when the guy accused of something outwardly suggests that is a thing hes down for its even tougher for me to think its not a thing.
Idek that BJS has been seriously considered for a Canelo fight & I got BJS as a dark horse to f#ck the whole division over including Canelo, but I think this fight just isnt looking all that sexy to them cuz of BJSs style & how his momentum always slows down when he has a good W. If BJS could string together two back to back nice Ws without a year between fights Id beat wed have seen this fight alf#ckingready. But it will be a fun fight for hardcores doe when/if it goes down.
Don't listen to any cats on here from Mexico or the US when it comes to a British fighter. It's all lies like always. Both sides came out and claimed all was clear and ready to go twice if the Canelo fights didn't happen. That information can be found by a legitimate source. Not smears and bitterness by a bunch of clowns who clearly need therapy.

Lol. Obvious to anyone that knows boxing. Lol again. He beat some good fighters & some decent ones. That's funny. Beat nobody without robberies? Another good one. Groves beat a nobody in Chudinov for his title bruh. Ill leave you be on this one. Split decisions seem to be all be robberies nowadays. You just love them Brits boy.

Chudinov is nothing but decent. Degale and Eubank are his good wins.
I love them Brits, even though my argument has substance? But you love them Americans, even though it has zero substance? If you think that makes sense, be my guest.
