I wanted to hug shawn so badly after that fight, he fought his azz off. hopefully now he gets his respect, I'm a spence fan and knew it wouldn't be easy, had no idea what made people think spence was going to walk through him. with that being said, this was no robbery and I'm glad hes saying this because people looking for a reason to complain are throwing that word around.

Aside from the early body punches that landed low, his body work was beautiful. He also answered all of Porter's inside flurries with power shots that landed flush. He also swept the championship rounds, with a knockdown in the 10th. 7-5 Spence.
Shawn got caught and his glove touched the canvass in the 11th not the 10th!
Actually in the 3rd round Porter buzzed Spence with a hook to the temple and Spence legs shifted for a moment and he had to back up and cover up!
There were plenty of times Porter landed flush shots, he turned Spence all night and went to the body effectively which is why we saw Spence actually tired(Derrick James himself said it in the corner that Spence was tired) and the fact that his face showed more damage showed that Porter was the one consistently landing flush shots!
Porter’s head movement and foootwork made Spence missed more than he’s ever had in his career, there was time in the fight that Porter landed 4 flush uppercuts and no one mentioned it!
Porter won IMO and Spence knows he got a really close one thanks to the judges, look at all the excuses he’s been tweeting out since!
Now Spence saying he can’t be undisciplined between fights, didn’t have a nutritionist and strength & conditioning coach and saying he wants to move up to 154! Lol
Let’s be honest, deep down he knows he cut it really
Close and almost lost to a guy who he was trashing his skills and called him an in-shape Street fighter !
It’s funny, I saw the better skills from Porter all night, he was using the ring better, wasn’t coming in straight all night like Spence, landed the jabs more, and made Spence fight his fight!
But congratulations to Spence, he’s no longer the hunter anymore he’s now the hunted where everyone will give him their best shot and he better learn his lesson from this fight!

BoxingScene scored it 115-112... It was a clear Spence win to me. He was aggressive too and landed the harder cleaner punches... he was also never hurt or in any kind of trouble. I don't see how anyone could think Porter won. It was a competitive but dominant performance by Spence.

7 - 5 Spence, that makes it 115 - 112 (in my own mind...no one else cares...)...HOWEVER...I thought Shawn was winning the 11th until he got pushed down and dropped. No knockdown means a draw is reasonable...
Hell of a fight by both. Period.

I had it 7-5 porter but with so many close rounds its one of those fights where its probably 6-6 or 7-5 either way. I disagree with the 8-4 cards but even that is arguably correct because of the many close rounds.
The pbc ww fighters have had many close fights on the cards in recent years, no ine can dominate and no one can score a KO and this results in a difference of opinion in a lot of these fights.
There's many good fighters at ww but no one is that much better than the rest and you don't see a KO in these fights, expect the same if Spence fights Danny or Ugas next.

Porter you did well son. Better than most expected. You gain some fans in the process and Spence was tested. What you did against Spence only proves the inevitable. Spence is absolutely no match for Crawford.
This will be easy work for Crawford skillsets. Spence knows his time is limited. I'm willing to bet that either Pacquiao or Crawford would win.
