I dont think that Charlo shot was THAT much of a punch from the gods. I think dudes jaw is suspect at best still.

Beating Hurd was impressive, but lets not act like Hurd wasnt a legit weight bully who outgrew the division the night he fought JRock. Lotsa mfers woulda beaten Hurd that night.

I love the JRock story but I think hes being overrated as much now as he was being unjustly called a bum after his L. We just went from one extreme to another.

He is being overrated a bit and I think Spence could beat him...but that he would stop J-Roc is based on nothing. Spence couldn't stop guys smaller than him in Mikey and Porter. How is he going to stop Julian Williams who is bigger than him and also very tough? Williams is very good on the inside. I don't see it

Charlo was huge at that weight don't forget, heck he is huge at 160. Spence isn't at 154

That would be a very interesting fight. I don't know who wins that fight. I slightly leans towards Spence but one could never know until they fight.

Honestly I was really happy for/impressed with J Rock for the way he bounced back vs Hurd and put on a great performance...he proved me wrong in that one and made me a believer in a way.

But yeah I think we can all be victims of over-rating the last fight for some guys...maybe J Rock would win, idk how Spence would do at 154, and tbh I have been high on Spence for a while but his last two outings were a little underwhelming to me.

I am wondering if he is killing himself to make 147 because that's where all the good action is for him now.

i tend to agree with you. spence should stick with WW for now. the key is getting a fight with manny pacquiao. you do that and you'lre a star overnight if you can knock him out. his stardom will just kind of fall into place. watch it. that's what they want.

and then this is what you do. you take your giant pile of money that you made knocking out manny pacquiao and you put it under a mattress. then you say, "**** 154 LBS!" and you move up to 160. that's where the money is. there and WW. you fight canelo alvarez for the middleweight championship of the world.


styles make fights. you're 2-3 inches taller, have a reach advantage, and canelo's a boxer-puncher like you who likes the same kind of fights that you do. it's honestly a winnable fight. he'd be what they call a "live dog."

and you can justify the promoter friction, the networks, everything, with the money that will be generated. this is if and only if spence gets pacquiao and knocks him out. again, if he can do that he will become at least a household name, if not a star, overnight

I would still favor Spence. Without having to drain down to 147, he's closer to his walking around weight. I think he comes in strong at 154, dominates J-Rock--who is nothing special.

I'll bet you any amount Jrock wouldn't ko spence. But its pointless til it happens. I was among the only ones on here that was telling everyone porter wouldn't get kod & wasn't remotely a big underdog vs "still relatively unproven" spence. Suddenly everyone on here who was saying Porter was an easy ko,is now shtting on Spence because they don't know sht about boxing & couldn't see the writing on the wall beforehand. (Im not talking about you,I don't know you)

If Jrock fights Spence I'd bet anything it goes to a decision.

Um, you were not even close to the only person on here saying Porter wouldn't be KO'd. Most people were picking Spence for sure, but not by KO.
