Actually, Ortiz was offered the chance that Ruiz Jr took advantage of and PBC promised him a 2nd shot at Wilder to turn it down. Bearing in mind how things turned out, I bet Ortiz is kicking himself for accepting the deal now while Ruiz is laughing his arse off.

Ortiz took the first Wilder fight on 3wks notice and made $500k. So no excuses to refuse $7million on a month notice.
