Was Errol Spence drained against Shawn Porter?

I personally believe that the weight cut has been hard on him this time around. He kinda kills himself to make weight and the older he gets the harder it gets. I felt he was sluggish and slow for a big part of the fight, he was getting tired and wasn't throwing as many punches as I'm accustomed to seeing from him, yea he dropped Porter late, but it was a flash knockdown that even Adrien Broner managed to score against Porter.

I think he should watch his weight between fights and move up to 154 in 2020. That weight cutting wil catch up to him sooner or later if he doesn't stop it.

    Edit:

Errol also kind of hinted at his weight and strength and conditioning after the fight:

No. He just isnt as good as he thought. Same thing happened to Broner and Garcia when they realized Shawn Porter was better than them after they spent the build up ****ting on his boxing ability. Spence is better but not by much.

No, that is just a convenient and built in excuse in order to rationalize his not knocking "Showtime" Shawn Porter out as promised and also to rationalize Shawn's exceptional and superb performance against him.

Nice try Erroll! You fought a good fight and won the decision. However, at least to me; You still lost the fight. Shawn still won it. So in the future, try coming up with a better excuse next time!

Maybe a little but that’s not the reason Shawn (who’s also a little tight at the weight) gave him trouble.

Shawn Porter is now a handful for anyone at 147 IMO, I’d really like to see if Crawford could neutralise him. Crawford is the most skilled fighter in the division IMO but Porter’s uber-aggressive style could be a big problem.

If he was "drained" then that means he should NOT be fighting at 147 but at 154. Don't use that as an excuse now.

Yeah Good Luck trying to maintain your weight living in Texas

            IMPOSSIBLE!

            Spence
            Jermell and Jermall Charlo
            Vergil Ortiz
            Omar and Brandon Figueroa
            Mario Barrios
            Mo Hooker

All Texas Boys and all are or was TOO BIG for their Weight Classes if you notice so yeah "Everything Is Bigger In Texas" Indeed...even their damn Fighters apparently and they're all likely Draining Down and their Training Camps are basically FAT CAMPS to make weight

So yeah I do think Spence Jr needs to either stay very active to avoid putting on all that weight or just MOVE UP!

Too strong and he kept a relentless fast pace for 12 rounds, he wasnt drained at all in my eyes.

Maybe, but it didn't seem to affect the fight much. He didn't let himself get ran over by Porter, landed clean shots, dropped him. He looked great. Don't let a bunch of idiots who hated him before the fight talk you into thinking there was something wrong with the guy.

No he wasn't drained but he hasn't been using his strength and conditioning coach in his last 3 fights.

They both fought hard until the fight ended. Not drained at all.
