Honestly though man my 2 cents is that a lot of these guys are judged by how they act/how they look, but not their color...Vanes has always seemed like a pretty nice guy/not really thuggish...so when a one-off situation like this comes about, people kind of scratch their heads and try to make sense of it.

When a guy has a pattern of behavior, regardless of color, they get judged more harshly...if Shawn Porter or Keef had a similar story come out about them, I think most of the comments would be the same...when it is a guy you don't really expect, you want some more info before coming to a conclusion.

There are definitely some non-black guys who could have a story like this come out and no one would really be surprised, and they would get sh.it for it...but when it is a guy you don't really expect, you kind of scratch your head at first and wonder what the deal is...that goes for any color imo.
