They offered Danny $3M, not five, but they offered Khan (who was sparked by Danny) $5M. Mike Coppinger of Ring reported in November:

"Both duBoef and Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti recounted to The Ring on Tuesday the details of an offer delivered to Angel Garcia for his son, Danny Garcia, to meet Crawford (34-0, 25 knockouts) in a welterweight title fight on that same date.

The offer, presented by Moretti during a phone call with Angel: $3 million guaranteed plus upside of the pay-per-view revenue. The plan was for Crawford-Garcia to headline Top Rank’s first PPV show on ESPN. Of course, Garcia is aligned with PBC, meaning he fights exclusively on Showtime/FOX."

Shawn, coming off that performance deserves an immediate rematch! Top Rank gave Khan $5M, then Porter deserves AT LEAST $5M!

Lol...sure ok. Stark and Cap. Stark's dead and Cap is happy...Go figure.

As for Spence being a duck...who is he ducking exactly?

What a great fight. Spence was taken to a place he had never been. He dug deep and close the show very well. It will improve him as a fighter. He may realize that the best version of him is the Mikey Garcia version. At this level you can just beat guys up and make them quit.

I find it funny how the detractors are coming out the wood-works to say I thought he was the boogeyman. Well he never claimed to be that. That came as a result of every welter not wanting to fight (except Crawford). Now that they see he is not a robot and that he is human, it looks like they are more willing to fight him and we will all benefit.

Shawn was so good on Saturday night, now more fights will open up for him. A possible Crawford fight can happen, and the Manny fight as well. Crawford really has fought the best that the division has to offer, only Manny and Crawford remain.

That is what every logical boxing fan is saying, Arum & Crawford should fight Shawn Porter, give him a crack at the WBO BELT, and it is comparison shopping. And a win over Porter, even a more clear cut win, would make the Spence fight more interesting, more lucrative. IF Crawford can beat Porter and that’s a big IF, because it isn’t a guarantee just like it wasn’t against Spence.

But it would give Crawford a top tier welterweight on his “welterweight” resume, give Arum and Haymon a chance to work together with a big ESPN & PBC fight, and remove any reasoning from Spence to not fight Crawford. Bud should fight Shawn Porter. Fans would want to see that, not another Amir Khan or Jeff Horn at welterweight.

Oh yeah, that's right. I should have checked that number first.

I think Al let's Shawn cross the street if Pac doesn't want to fight him. He would just be a rematch for all the other top welters and I'm not sure those will sell well. Crawford Porter would get plenty of traction though.

I think Shawn earned an immediate rematch! That was a great fight, and I think they should run it back! Al should let Danny cross the street, but makes sure that he gets paid at least what Khan got paid! Danny's resume @ 140 is better than Crawford's! Danny beat Khan, Judah, Matthysse, and Peterson! His only losses are to Thurman and Porter @ WW! Peep this though, after Danny beat Granados by KO:

              April 22, 2019:

NEW YORK – Maybe it was a mere coincidence.

Or perhaps, as Elaine Benes once explained during an episode of “Seinfeld,” it was a “big coincidence.”

Whichever’s true, a couple hours after Danny Garcia dismantled Adrian Granados on Saturday night, Terence Crawford’s promoter determined that a fight against Garcia later this year wouldn’t be worth their time. Two weeks earlier, Bob Arum indicated to BoxingScene.com that he would again attempt to make a Crawford-Garcia fight if Crawford beat Amir Khan on Saturday night and Garcia defeated Granados...

“You know, a lot of guys that we’re interested in fighting, like Kell Brook, has said that he wanted to fight Terence,” Arum told a group of reporters early Sunday morning. “And that’d be fun. I mean, the other guys that Haymon has, I’m not really interested in. [Shawn] Porter isn’t a real fight for Crawford. And [Danny] Garcia’s not a real fight. [Keith] Thurman isn’t. The fight that’s a real fight is Spence.”

Spence vs Crawford and the winner face 41 year old Manny for history making unification.

Do you think nobody notices the distorted and fabricated excuses to avoiding Crawford?

They could really use it as a trial run for a joint promotion. I don't think Bob risks it though. Suppose Porter wins. Rematch on ESPN? Doubt it. Then even if Crawford wins the rematch, he won't have leverage against Spence unless the fights do big numbers.

Boxing is this amazing sport of calculating wills. So many want to take the train completely off the reality track.

First off you aren’t ducking a fighter if you pass their desperate offer up for a unification, a bigger threat and a much deeper fight resume.

Terrence may be my favorite fighter but I can’t justify Bob’s match making at 147. Why is Bob only “wanting,” to put Crawford in with Spence? There are many great Welters who want the WBO title. Wouldn’t these matches build the mystique of Spence vs Crawford? Why isn’t Terrence #1 P4P not fighting the best?

Why... because Bob doesn’t want to pay them. So when people ask why Errol who is fighting killers but not fighting Crawford. The real question is why is the best fighter in the world fighting unknown and unproven soldiers? Boxing needs to get its priorities in order.
